The reason why people say that about Beyonce is because she spent a good 10 years making bird brain music instead of using her talent to make more serious music and I'm not about to defend something we (i.e. blacks) used to always criticize Beyonce for just because it's a white girl vs. black girl debate in this thread. That's because none of these artist were on their face everyday. Super Bowl after super bowl, Grammy after Grammy. 19 years of being on the radio and on billboard.

What if Jill Scott were white? Neither of them have her lyrical depth or vocal manipulation. What about Rachelle Ferrell? There are quite a few black vocalist who easily surpass Adelle vocally and lyrically. Beyoncé is talented in her own right. Carlos is out of line here. He is one of my faves but he tripping. Adelle is talented and also aided by being white. Her weight is actually an asset in her case, though it usually isn't. She ain't seeing Jill though.
