nah it makes sense for the time being ESPECIALLY since registration is closed…that being said @Brooklynzson has a site to run so I imagine he welcomes the extra eyes…the other site I was on didn’t have open registration…made it so that lurkers couldn’t view the forum and they had strict ban policies…no bushes, no temp bans…you fukked up you were out—the end…but it ended up being shortsighted on the owner’s part as traffic died down…he tried to make up for it by forcing members to “donate” and that resulted in more members bouncing…10 years later the board went from making him money to being an expense…closing off the board would be beneficial to preserving the forum in the short run but long term it’ll end up fukking the owner over
