I actually liked the song. But I can't help to wonder when Bruno will actually make songs that are completely original instead of rehashing shyt from the past.

This is a plug n play record at it's core. That's why I say Cardi isn't going to fall off anytime soon. She's using the Rihanna method of always having a hit song at her disposal.

Some may be smashes (Bodak Yellow, Money), some may be minor hits (Bartier Cardi) but she's gonna get her airplay and streams regardless. She ain't going anywhere.
Would like to know also .

Everything is race related with music because all dope music originates from black, specifically "African" American people. We make shyt hot then execs lessen the artists budgets and slowly dilute their effect commercially. Then magically 5, 10 years later we have white, latino and racially ambiguous people doing a half assed rendition of shyt that came naturally to us. They have the marketing and all the media channels and own all the celebrities to literally make it hot. I'm not saying this song ain't cool, but it's been done before. Bruno is piggybacking off black AA nostalgia and making a fortune off of it. This is the colonization, gentrification and appropriation of black music and culture done over and over again and Black Americans are waking up because we're tired of seeing this shyt.

Bruno has acknowledged that all music came from black people in a rolling stone interview. I hear what you saying but it’s not his fault that a label supports him to make music regardless of what type it may be. We gave up the new jack swing sound for something else a minute ago (couldn’t tell you what to call the genre maybe trap soul lol) most of the older r&b acts aren’t appealing because they’re old and the younger guys seem to be doing more neosoul r&b now. I don’t see anything wrong with a minority that grew up on our music taking a stab at it.

And the fact that his whole crew is black is awesome because he reps them heavy.

Plus we don’t really support our own acts like we use to so if it was really an issue instead of complaining about other races doing our music we should be supporting our own but we don’t because “they not popping”.

Idk I see what you saying but I don’t look at Bruno the same way I look Ariana Miley or Justin Bieber

I don’t think will ever get an interview with him saying “I’m not hanging out with THOSE people anymore”

It's not bad. Her vocals are annoying again, but that won't matter.

He wins first and foremost, because he is the most versatile, multi-threat pop musician of the past ten years.

Whether white people/Latinx's/Asian-Americans/Phillipinos like him is irrelevant to the black 70 year-old grandmothers and 7-year old cousins who run to the dance floor at the wedding when the deejay throws on "Finesse."

People always say this but I personally have never been at a Black wedding, bbq, and definitely not a party where they play his music. On a cruise ship with a bunch of old cacs dancing along on deck (:scust:)? Yes. And even if 70 year old grandmas and 7 year old little kids at weddings like it, I mean, this makes him a wedding singer. Wedding singer/cruise ship singer/karaoke is pretty much his thing. It’s amazing to me that anyone takes him serious.
