Carol Danvers initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability, a limited precognitive "seventh sense", and a perfectly amalgamated human/Kree physiology that rendered her resistant to most toxins and poisons. As Binary, the character could tap the energy of a "white hole", allowing full control and manipulation of stellar energies, and therefore control over heat, the electromagnetic spectrum and gravity. Light speed travel and the ability to survive in the vacuum of space were also possible.

Although the link to the white hole was eventually severed, Danvers retains her Binary powers on a smaller scale, enabling her to both absorb energy and project it in photonic form. She can still also survive in space. While she lacks a constant source of energy to maintain the abilities at their previous cosmic level, she can temporarily assume her Binary form if empowered with a high enough infusion of energy.

Danvers possesses superhuman strength and durability, can fly at roughly six times the speed of sound,[86] retains her sixth sense, and can discharge explosive blasts of radiant energy, which she fires from her fingertips. She also demonstrates the ability to absorb other forms of energy, such as electricity, to further magnify her strength and energy projection, up to the force of an exploding nuclear weapon.[46] When sufficiently augmented, she can withstand the pressure from a 92-ton weight, and strike with a similar level of force, although Hank Pym theorized that this likely was not her limit.[87] Danvers cannot absorb magical energy without consequence, though she aided Dr. Stephen Strange in the defeat of the mystic menace Sir Warren Traveler.[88]

Carol Danvers is also an exceptional espionage agent, pilot, hand-to-hand combatant and marksman.

Captain Marvel is currently filming, and the latest footage reveals an upcoming fight on a train.

Fighting inside of a train would be one thing, but the new footage suggests that the battle will take place on the Train's roof. The footage shows Brie Larson in costume alongside someone else at a slightly lower level. There's another person further down the train, though it looks like they are still setting up for a scene as opposed to actually shooting one.

It would seem then that either she is battling someone on the roof or trying to save someone who has ended up there. At first, we thought it was a bus but some other photos surfaced showing a better look at the train.

You can watch the footage above, and the pics can be seen below.

Captain Marvel stars Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Samuel L. Jackson, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace Djimon Hounsou, Colin Ford, Kenneth Mitchell, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Make sure to check out our primer on everything you need to know about Captain Marvel because it will be here before you know it!

Marvel Studios' Black Panther is now playing in theaters as is Avengers: Infinity War. It will be followed by Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 5, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2020.

Gemma Chan, who is set to play Minn-Erva in the upcoming film, recently shared a photo of her cast chair on the film's set. You can check it out below.

Chan is best known for her role on the AMC series Humans, as well as appearances in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Submarine. Next, Chan is expected to star in the adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians, as well as in the Margot Robbie-led biopic Mary Queen Of Scots.

In the comics, Minn-Erva travels to Earth in search of Mar-Vell, hoping to mate with him and progress the Kree bloodline. She later teams up with Captain Atlas, becoming a member of the Kree Starforce and causing quite a bit of trouble in the Kree/Shi'ar War.

As with when Chan was cast earlier this year, there's no telling exactly how Minn-Erva will factor into Captain Marvel. But considering the fact that Mar-Vell will appear in the movie (portrayed by Jude Law), there's a chance that her comic dynamic with him could be explored, or that she plays a role in the film's Kree-Skrull War.

Considering the event that the film will explore - as well as its place in between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 - fans are certainly looking forward to Captain Marvel. And according to those involved with the film, that wait will be worth it.

"We really were bringing so much of what was already in the comics onto the screen, it felt like, in terms of the amazing character who’s so funny and sassy and talks back, and she’s fearless," screenwriter Geneva Robertson-Dworet said in a recent interview. "I love that Carol Danvers is so funny. She has a blast when she kicks ass. Those comics are amazing! It’s an amazing world and sandbox to play in. You’re working with incredible creative people, every day. I had a total dream experience."

So essentially she's just Supergirl?
..Trash
The only reason we'll watch this movie is cause we want a conclusion to Infinity War this shyt would flop without riding the IW coattails

Its gonna numbers regardless of IW...however I hate when they have these ridiculously overpowered superheroes...Would rather the remaining Avengers use their ingenuity to beat Thanos than this random ass Deus Ex machina pop in. I don't remember Captain Marvel/Mar-Vell being the Superman of the Marvel Comics Universe. Sentry or Hyperion maybe, but Captain Marvel, nah...

In the words of Okoye, "why was this bytch standing over there the whole time."
