Saw it, thought it was cool. Adds a few unneeded wrinkles to the continuity though imo. Doesn't entirely connect with the MCU because of that for me, but on it's own it's a good moive. But i think i'm going to treat endgame as her true introduction to the MCU. Did the same thing with Thor. I skip Thor 1 and treat Avengers as his debut. Seems like it works better as his introduction than his first movie does.

Captain Marvel apparently beat Black Panther in domestic and international box office.

I ain't buying it, but whatever.

We'll see what additional help/protection this broad and this movie get from Disney next week.

Even Antman been in 3 so far and got like 2 more to go atleast.

Unless you’re a minor MINOR character, they gonna sign you to atleast a trilogy

There's a reason for the criticisms; and there's a reason Disney, Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes and Youtube -- and cautious reviewers -- bent over backwards in an unprecedented way for this movie. But whatever. It's just a movie.

We gotta calm down and atleast see a little bit of how this and everything plays out before we create all this energy to be mad and hate her. With the Fox sale so much is in the open now and shyt that was said in article YEARS ago don’t necessarily mean they gonna be executed. Like for example say this film only ends at $500M but then BP 2 drops and gets ANOTHER BILLY. Who’s to say he not the new face and Leader?

What if they decide “hey we know how much everyone loves Wolverine, let’s reformat him and make him the leader”

Let’s just see how it plays out, no need to get worked up over nothing for now

One thing I keep finding funny is cats saying “I ain’t buying it....” with a few things related to CM that they just don’t wanna accept or hate.

Well I ain’t buying all this “she gonna be this and that” until I see it executed.

I bought Ed Norton as Hulk
I bought InHumans
Hell I even bought there was gonna be a spin off Agents of Shield with Bobbie and that British dude.

So many more variables and gifts been awarded to Marvel and I can recognize shyt can change or get adjusted

Movie was cool, good enough to hold me over until next month.
Though they totally threw me off with

the whole tesseract arc. Didn't it crash in the ocean with Captain America? So how does it go from the crashed ship to a Skrull ship, to a cat, then back into ocean with Cap?

idc this movie was dope as hell to me better than iron man 2/3, thor 1/2, spiderman, ant man...so I would say its one the better marvel movies to come out

when she unlocked her full powers was dope as well

I will go see this again, my only complaint is the forced comedy disney puts in there wish they would dial that back, made the skrulls seem like clowns

Good movie. They succeeded in telling a origin story that explains who she is and why she is so important. It wasn’t directly connected but still felt relevant with everything going on.

Not exactly. I mean WHO IS SHE? And how she's so important? All we got was that she was a girl who inexplicably got powers from an energy explosion. No real background at all except that she was a pilot and a tom boy. No explanation of how and why she's so powerful or the use of her powers. Just an average woman that got into an energy explosion and somehow THAT made her the so-called "most powerful superhero of the MCU. And they purposely nerf'ed VISION's powers who embodied an actual infinity stone over this.

The truth is they retconned virtually the entire phase 1 to make her relevant.
