fukk no. That first movie holds this trilogy back and TDK will still be the best of the bunch.
I may need to revisit The First Avenger, but i remember having no real desire to see it again after i watched it. Not that it's bad, just sorta meh.

I don't think there's any way Captain takes the crown for best comic book trilogy from Nolan, not unless CW is :blessed: and is almost universally praised as the goat superhero movie.

I liked that movie more than most. Funny thing, I had nowhere near the amount of appreciation for Winter Soldier as I should have when I first saw it. I thought it was just...cool. Now I watch and I'm like:whoo:

Exactly this. First Avenger was dope to me :yeshrug:. Winter Soldier was cool, but has gotten better on repeat viewings.

The Nolan Trilogy may seem better story wise to some degree, but each movie always had something irked me about each movie. Batman Begins always thought the whole water supply thing was weak turning the people in the city to be crazy. TDK, the whole Two-Face thing, dude is mad strong to survive the explosion and a major car accident but he can't survive that weak ass fall. As for the TDKR it had more problems than the other two.

Nolan was never good at directing action, and the action as always lacked in those movies. The camera angles were too close in Batman Begins, TDK &TDKR, the way the stunt performers would just fall with the lack of movements of Batman. Even though the camera work for the fights in TDKR was an improvement, but still not that great.

That's what set's the Cap movies apart, it's entertaining and consistent, the action scenes were top notch especially with the Russo's at helm. From what I am reading looks like they even up the ante again with the Civil War movie.
