And then came the... interesting part. When asked by Collider about the things that make Marvel movies like The Winter Soldier so great, Stan brought up Zack Snyder's controversial (and largely misinterpreted) comments about Ant-Man being a "flavor-of-the-week" movie.

"Yeah, I’m sitting here and I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, “Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?” I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can’t remember where I read that, somewhere… Something about, “It’s not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man.” And I was like, “Oh thanks, Zack. That’s great. Way to do something original.”"

"But I would say we’re still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they’re shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They’re not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that."
Damn, not sure he is saying MOS sucked, but it's not as good as Nolan's shyt. :lolbron:

AsiaPop ComiCon Trailer Description

  • Iron Man fighting both Captain America and the Winter Soldier.
  • Iron Man throwing Cap, but not seeing Bucky and then getting subsequently punched in the face.
  • This is probably a misdirection, but Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow is apparently the rumored double agent and it sounds like she doublecrosses Cap. She is shown reporting to the government, including General Ross and Tony Stark, before her showdown with Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye.
  • More of the Black Widow/Hawkeye fight; Natasha looks to be in bad shape after Clint delivers a big blow
  • Vision fighting both Falcon & Scarlet Witch.
  • More of the scene where Ant-Man thanks Cap for letting him be a part of the team. This time, Scott apparently pulls a Peggy and touches Steve's pecs to feel how big/firm they are at some point during the conversation.
  • Daniel Brühl's Baron Zemo makes an appearance.
  • Steve and Bucky hugging it out.

Hey as someone who is actually a antman fan ( comics and movies ) he's not the main stream Level of Batman and Superman . The marketing clearly pushed the idea of antman kind of being a joke In a way :yeshrug: but Snyder should be quiet until AFTER his movie makes a billi .

It's crazy how the govt doesnt trust cap, that dude has saved the world and done the right thing more times than i can count. the natasha heel turn makes no sense. showing how hydra infiltrated shield and forced them to be on the run...

without cap she be likely be dead too...

It's not really crazy at all. He don't give a fukk about the government, all he cares about is doing the right thing. He was willing to ruin SHIELD in "The Winter Soldier" because it was the right thing to do. And he was telling the government to kick rocks before he even knew Hydra had infiltrated SHIELD.

The government tends to frown on people like that.

Not to mention, technically, it was Iron Man who intercepted the nuke, flew it into the alien portal above New York and pretty much sacrificed himself to save NYC from obliteration while also annihilating the invading alien army...

Which isn't to say the government gives any more of a crap for Tony than Steve but that, propaganda wise, it's not going to be very hard to convince the general public to give the government's "Stark's way" a chance. The guy who 'saved' New York and funds the Avengers is a pretty good figurehead/pawn to have if you're a government body looking to have absolute control over metahuman activities and identities, and gain public support for it.

They'd throw Stark in the bushes for Rogers just as quickly if Tony and Steve's views were reverse.

Paul Bettany Says 'The Vision' Is "Omnipotent And Naive" In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

FHg5g5J.png

Right after the Captain America: Civil War footage was shown exclusively at the AsiaPop Comic-Con over the weekend, Paul Bettany had took part in Q&A with the audience and discussed reprising hisAvengers: Age of Ultron role as the Vision in Marvel's first "Phase Three" next year. When asked to compare and contrast working on the The Avengers sequel versus the Captain America threequel, Bettany initially joked that he was a little more used to suiting up in costume and and enduring two hours of makeup. "It was a lot of work!" he said, laughing. "We all had a bit more fun. You know, there were more improvised jokes between me and [Robert] Downey Jr., and me and Chris Evans, and it was a really loose atmosphere on-set. It was one really loose set, it was great!" The English actor continued, "I would totally lie to you if it wasn’t, but I don’t have to lie. And we all get on. They’re all a really nice bunch of boys and girls. They’re all happy to be there. They’re being terribly well-paid, so they should be happy to be there. And work’s really creative and fun, you know? I got to be born on camera, you know, that’s unlikely to ever happen again."

Later during the interview, Paul Bettany had discussed another joy of being a part of the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly as a superhero. "And also, as an actor, the other part of it is knowing that you have work in a year’s time," he said. "I’ve never had that. Do Jarvis, you should do Jarvis. No, find somebody else. Oh, I … It’s the first time in my life that I’ve had the security of knowing that I’ve got a couple of movies to make…" However, when asked specically how many more appearances he will make as the Vision, Bettany would only say, "I couldn’t reveal that." It is safe to say that the Vision will definitely return in Avengers: Infinity War - Part I or Part II, if not in both, especially considering the synthetic humanoid is being powered by the Mind Gem, which is one of six infinity stones that a certain purple supervillain is out to collect by any means.

Finally, Bettany was asked his preparation mentally for the role of Vision, and in response, the actor revealed how the character will be utilized in Captain America: Civil War. "I was given comics," he started. "I also was looking to think about what could be edifying for me to learn. I took the opportunity—you see my character get born… something unlikely to ever happen to me again. He must be both omnipotent and yet totally naive at the same time. And experiencing the world in real time and his place in it. Is he going to be a force of good or a force of evil? It was really interesting, fun to play with, because he is dangerous, you do not know if he’s going to go one way or another. And I’m continuing that theme in Captain America 3." What do you think?
