Movie still dope to me. As much as I like Coogler's Black Panther movie, I feel Black Panther in Civil War is superior when it comes to the action and I like's Chadwick's voice for T'Challa better as well. I mean in CW you got BP going toe to toe with Cap and Buck but in his own movie they kind of downplayed his fighting especially in the casino scenes seems like he was struggling with regular dudes. While his females counterparts were kicking butt.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I agree a little about the airport fight but in my rewatches since, it looks better when you realise the civil war isn't the airport fight but the final fight between Cap/bucky v ironman. The airport isnt really a fight but a stop or capture exercise between the groups and I think the bit about war machine getting hurt brings it home clearly that, hey, We're not actually trying to hurt eachother here but due to the power we possess this is getting out of hand. It actually makes a lot of sense to me from that perspective. If youre expecting something similar to the comics then you'll obviously be very disappointed.

I do agree roughly with your ranking though.
but they literally said they weren't trying to hurt each other in that scene

just thought of something and don't know if it was ever discussed. when Vision nearly kills Rhodes, he was told to "turn Falcon into a glider." what the hell would he have had to aim at to not kill Falcon? that thing on his back? if he hit Falcon instead of Rhodes, Falcon is 100% dying.

T’Challa was a little too forgiving for my tastes. :mjpls:

Vision was targeting the thrusters . W/o the thrusters, Falcon wouldn't be able to accelerate or climb, but he could still use his wings to glide back to the ground.

Falcon has wings. So if vision took out his propolsion he would become a glider.

So like......:shaqflab:

Stark didn’t bring Spider-Man to “fight his fight” for him.

He brought him because he was a super power led enhanced person and he was assuming he could more or less control him.

It was supposed to be a quick grab and go which lets be honest, probably would’ve been successful if it wasn’t for Antman

Excluding A3, the airport scene to me is still by far the best comic book battle scene I’ve seen ever.

That shyt was straight from a comic book or cartoon, seeing all them fight against each other, their way with their powers or weapons

Wanted to revisit this classic movie as I watched it again the other day.

I disagree that Cap and Bucky were holding back. If anything Ironman was holding back and could have murked Steve which is why he gave him the “final warning” line. The majority of the time Tony was trying to focus on Bucky but Steve kept interfering. It wasn’t until he analyzed his fighting pattern that he got serious.

What you think brehs? :lupe: I know it’s 4 years later but this was a classic film

You're right, The thing that people don't seem to grasp is that Captain America can actually be killed fairly easily. What still boggles my mind is how the Russo Brothers made Black Panther a complete alpha dog in CW, but Coogler made him into a side character in his own film. Also notice how much Black Widow was drawn to him right from the jump?

She has much better chemistry with T'Challa than she does with Hulk, hell she has better chemistry with Steve as well.

Tony wasn't holding back just off the fact that he was extremely bloodlusted and going for the kill while Bucky and Cap weren't.

Bucky for one wasn't fighting half the time, he was trying to run away and Tony kept chasing him, trying to shoot him in the head n shyt and Bucky's main counter attacks involved trying to dismantle Tony's weapons. Cap for the majority of the encounter was trying to hold Tony back and just like Bucky was doing, he was also trying to dismantle Tony's equipment like his boosters.

Even when Tony destroyed the escape route and they all landed in that one room to battle it out, for the majority of the fight, Tony was trying to kill Bucky and keep Cap from saving him while all they were doing was trying to knock him out and dismantle his shyt and destroy his energy core which Cap succeeded in doing.

"Stay down, final warning", He was definitely holding back from killing Cap.

Yep, Black Panther in Civil War was written just like he is in the comics and animated shows. In BP he seemed neutered and they cared more about showcasing the women.

Not holding back armor and weapons were just nerfed
