I doubt that's the case, Marvel probably just wants to save the biggest reveal for the actual movie.

I doubt that's the case, Marvel probably just wants to save the biggest reveal for the actual movie.

Why Haven't We Seen Spider-Man in Captain America Civil War?

Well, besides wanting to keep some surprises for fans in the movie, Anthony & Joe Russo recently explained at a Q&A that a big part of the reason we haven’t seen Spidey yet is because of all the deals that needed to be made, and apparently still need to be made, between Disney/Marvel and Sony to share the character. Also Umberto reported that Sony Execs. have to screen the film for approval on Spiderman (CGI, how he moves, looks, etc.). Since it's an partnership they both have to sign off on everything

To be fair he's about to be on everything from soda cans to happy meals. Sony want their cut and I'm sure the mouse ain't trying to give it.

I doubt theres beef just 2 big honcho's ironing out the details and points before that stock gets rolling. Besides i hate that trailers give away every movie detail so im happy we get a surprise. Plus the screen cap will be all over the innanets the 1st day anyway

Like I said earlier, Spidey will be the T-Rex or Luke Skywalker of Civil War. He's being well hidden and I'm fine with it. Iron Man and Captain America (plus most of The Avengers) fighting will sell the movie to the people who don't follow movie news like we do and Spiderman entering the fray will be a nice surprise.
