It's probably going to be on par with the first captain America movie for most people. (Average to good) The sam Wilson era has alot of potential just get stronger writers and tweak whatever issues people had with this movie and we got something good here :ehh:

There will be no Sam Wilson era unfortunately. Sam will get Avengers probably and then the role will be reset with Steve Rogers back as Cap.

This film needed to be good and it needs box office success. Disney is now blaming all their shyt moves on "DEI" so if a Black lead isn't fronting a successful film or tv show, they will most likely be ousted.

7-8 years ago Mackie was saying he had no interest in leading a solo MCU project and was just was happy being one of the guys in the Cap franchise. That, compounded with his wooden acting and propensity for playing the breh who's always getting his ass whooped pyrrhic victories in fight scenes.. had me skeptical of him as a lead since forever.

Never cared about the Sam Wilson character either-there's just other more interesting brehs in the comics that could shine on this big stage... but even with all that said i always root for a breh-led superhero film to do well. Not really surprised by the reception given all the rumors of the plagued development and bloated budget to try and salvage things. Will be interesting to see the projected box office.

Nate Moore needs to be replaced.

Sadly, he's just their puppet they put out there to deliver the news/cap for them; get rid of him and they'll just find another black face to do it. When ppl were "upset" that T'Challa was dusted in Infinity War fresh off the solo movie, he was doing interviews swearing that he begged the Russos to not kill the character because of how important and cherised the character was...

...fast forward 3 years to the decision to not recast, and he's back in front of the camera talking about BP is just a mantle and it was never about T'Challa, anybody can be the role; Wakanda is the main character, etc etc. At that point, it was clear what time he was on.
