When you say original Hulk, are you talking about the 03 Hulk or 08 Hulk? Because 08 is one of the best final showdowns in superhero films, let alone Marvel movies.

I'm talking about 08 hulk and how he a glasses wearing nerd that does the dab for kids now. versus how he was back in 08.
If he was starring in his own movies he could be his 08 self again, but as a side character he doesn't get to beat up the main villian. Only get beat up by them. or calmed down.

Could have had the cops bring Betty to the fight and have Ross take her to his childhood home in Kansas....

Betty’s presence feels like the only plausible thing that would calm Ross down in that moment. Curious to find out what exactly was cut because I find it hard to believe Liv Tyler was that busy to have her only in a cameo here. It ain’t like she’s Emma Stone.

Sam calming Ross down with those words, with the two being at odds with each other for the bulk of the runtime, was just a hard sell for me. It’s bad writing.

That's character development. He didn't want to be a savage anymore. He's a man of science!

If he was starring in his own movies he could be his 08 self again, but as a side character he doesn't get to beat up the main villian. Only get beat up by them. or calmed down.

Now hold on. He beat the shyt out of Loki. He took him down. He took down the main Ultron in the ship. May not have been last one, but he took him down. Then in Thor 3, he was full on ready to kick Surtur's ass till Thor told him he had a different plan. He can't beat Thanos, Thanos is the final boss.


And now yeah, he's mellowed out. But that's his path. He tamed the beast and is a new man.

Yep, Betty should've been in the movie for more than a cameo scene at the very end.

Not only because she's a central part of the story they were trying to tell but also because they are basing this relationship on a 17-year-old movie (and with a different actor playing Thunderbolt Ross). I just didn't buy it.

Can't wait to read the comments in this thread because I've avoided spoilers. I'll give it a 3.75 out of 5. Movie had good pacing, and action. Yeah, Cap had some bad lines at times but he was tolerable. Villian was straight. I've seen worse in Marvel.

But the "climax" was wack. Final battle was trash. They coulda kept Red Hulk because I've seen all that in the original Hulk movies. I was disappointed they just mailed that in.
