Yea you got companies like Nintendo and SEGA that held it down in the old school with the platformer classics, you got niche developers like Square Enix that go ham in certain genres, but no one has ever had as many classics in as many different styles as CAPCOM brehs I think it's time we acknowledge the GOATS

1. Undisputed GOAT fighting franchise with Street Fighter from the core series to Alpha and all that shyt in between

2. Two fighting franchises top 10's with the Versus series from Marvel vs Capcom to Capcom vs SNK and the Darkstalkers games

3. Two Top 10 Platformers with the Megaman/Megaman X series and Ghosts and Goblins

4. Invented the horror survival genre with Resident Evil, then spun that off and invented the extreme action genre with Devil May Cry

5. Top 10 JRPG series with Breath Of Fire

6. Gang of underrated classics from Onimusha, Okami, Power Stone, Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney, Lost Planet, Strider, etc.

7. Still putting out heat with new IP's like Asuras Wrath and Dragon's Dogma showing no signs of stopping

A few corrections...

1.) Resident Evil wasn't close to the first Survival Horror game
And while there must of been some on the Nerdtube aka PC, consoles had Alone in the Dark back on the SNES
Snes had clock tower..
But I always felt that prince of persia NES was the first survival horror game that I played.
Its not usually called a survival horror game, but it gave you that feeling Resident evil did. Every corner you was not sure wtf was gonna happen...

Capcom are a bunch of lames. Do you realize Street Fighter X Tekken still doesn't have a patch or DLC for the PC version??? Every month they say it's in Microsoft's hands or something happened and they have to resubmit it.

But thats not what they were made for. Unlike a video game console whose sole purpose is to play games. So a gaming company would put all there focus on that. PC gaming is left behind by more than just capcom EA and 2K sports.. most sports, most fighters.. they don't do all that well on PC
