I need some feedback

I recently received two job offers

One job is in Tucson, AZ as an aircraft painter. It pays pretty well

The other gig is a low voltage electrician installing fire alarms in school districts in the DFW area. Pay is low but there is a decent chance for career advancement.

I currently stay in Fort Worth and to be honest I like it here, but finding a decent paying gig is tough right now in this job market.

Go to AZ and do the DFW job as a side hustle when you get there.

Take the aircraft painter job in AZ.
Looks like it’s more secure, don’t count on possibility of advancement.

You could have a lot of fun painting aircrafts!
Upload your art on IG and have women follow you!

Think about it
This could be you

Aircraft Structure maintenance

If it was me I’m staying with the planes breh you already in the industry and they have legit unions. I’m ambitious so I’d be thinking about doing my time and getting into upper management. Relocation isn’t bad if they can provide you a relocation package.

Between aircraft painter and low-voltage electrician, the low-voltage electrician generally has higher potential for a high salary, especially over the long term. Here's a comparison:

1. Aircraft Painter

  • Median Salary: ~$45,000 to $60,000 per year
  • Ceiling: Top earners may make up to $70,000–$80,000, especially in aerospace hubs or union positions
  • Growth: Limited upward mobility unless you move into supervision, quality control, or management
  • Specialization Pay Boost: Aircraft painters with FAA certifications or who work on military contracts may earn more

2. Low-Voltage Electrician

  • Median Salary: ~$50,000 to $65,000 per year
  • Ceiling: Can exceed $80,000–$100,000 with specialization (e.g., data centers, fire alarm systems, or security systems), project management, or starting your own business
  • Growth: Strong upward potential—many move into general electrical work, system design, or even low-voltage engineering roles
  • Certifications & Licensing: NICET, BICSI, or state low-voltage licenses can significantly boost income

Conclusion:

If you're looking for long-term income potential, low-voltage electrician offers more flexibility, higher ceilings, and stronger demand, especially with the growth of smart buildings, security systems, and data infrastructure.
