Lol they probably sharked brehs vision. But the Trigun similarities is undeniable. Vash 'the Stampede', Philly 'the Kid'. I don't have a problem with it like that as Anime/manga take inspiration from each other continuously, but the pilot episode was so eerily familiar to Trigun in almost every facet.

I’m fukking with it :ehh:...I get bebop vibes more than trigun. Plus Trigun was real boring most of the time. This shyt hella violent with all types of elements going on in it which makes it interesting. Dub is :hhh: though. That opening theme got me :stylin:ol girl sounding like a Rihanna clone on it :russ:

I feel like the show could’ve been good, but the constant kiddy cute elements are off putting.

The plot isn’t really that interesting. It’s like cowboy bebop set the standard to high.

Say brehs what is that realistic genre of anime called?

Pretty good. Not on Bebop or Trigun level but its not supposed to be.

My personal cup of tea for anime is the “Cowboy Bebop” style where the plot gets darker and more serious towards the middle/end. Cannon Busters stays pretty light throughout even with some of the darker elements/revelations. Its a step above the Naruto level (tone wise) in my estimation.

I’d give this first season a solid 7.5/10 and will definitely watch a season 2. The brother who did this put together a very solid project. :salute:

Also I hope he CAKES off of merch. Philly and Sam are hella marketable

How does it compare to Netflix's Voltron S1 in the dark and gritty?
