No it's not surprising...Canelo's contract with Golden Boy Promotions is that he receives a base salary as his minimum and then takes an 80/20 split off of all the profits GBP receives from the event. It's actually an amazing deal for a young Superstar in the making:wow:



According to Golden Boy Promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer, Alvarez’s deal with the company has him on an 80-20 split of the profits from the event in his favor.
