I'm reading some people had Cotto winning...

WTF was yall watching?:what:

Nobody at the crib had Cotton winning...I had it 8-4 and the 4 rounds I gave Cotton were extremely close...None of the 8 rounds I gave Canelo were debatable...

Canelo outclassed this cherry picking Diva and it wasn't even close...Defensively Canelo was damn near flawless boxing from the outside, protecting his body from the left hook and slipping punches with outstanding head movement...I don't think Cotton landed a single left hook to the body in the first 6 rounds...The only offense Cotton was able to land with any sort of consistency was the jab and half the time he did he got countered with an overhand right...Canelo's size, combination punching and speed were a clear problem for Cotton...It seemed like every time he tried to mount some offense he got caught with an uppercut or overhand right...

5 thudding power punches >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 10 jabs
exactly. can't believe so many people had the shyt close....canelo won the fight comfortably. he was making cotto look straight stupid at times. canelo picked him apart masterfully. anything cotto did, canelo always had an answer for it. it was like canelo was seeing cotto move in slow motion. canelo really treated him like an old ass man last night. just toyin with him.

I guess you didn't watch that fight. nikka 12-0 him with no close rounds
Thank you Brehs! People forget how floyd dominated and frustrated him! Had canelo swinging and hitting ropes

It does show floyd's greatness

Again...styles make fights:ufdup:

Unless you wanna talk about how Austin Trout beat Cotto much easier than Floyd could & Devon Alexander beat Maidana much easier than Floyd could:ufdup:

Bottomline, :camby: randomly bringing up Floyd and a fight from over 2 years ago in a celebration thread for #CaneloCartel over Cotto from yesterday:birdman:

Floyd stans always get in their feelings when they see another fighter getting props, so they randomly bring this nikka up for no reason:snoop:

Yeah it definitely had more/better punching, but nobody really took it to the next level like Peterson did in those late rounds. That's really what I felt Canelo was missing in his performance.
You know that extra gear where he turns it up a notch.

Crawford has it.
against c level fighters nelo looks amazing too so whats your point? :mjlol:

I'm shocked Cotto didn't go down...showed heart

HBO was dikriding Canelo way too hard...them compubox numbers seemed way off too...one of them rounds went like this...

Canelo Corner: "don't let that happen again canelo"

Roach : that was a good round

Lampley: "compubox has Canelo outlanding cotto 3 to 1 that
Round 20+ to 7:gladbron:"

:dahell:

Them scorecards were bullshyt

Canelo looked good...imagine if instead of GGG fighting lemeuix...Lemeuix fought someone else he could knock out on this undercard to look good

Then you make a unification ppv all in house Canelo vs Lemeuix...400k easy
lol cokeboy is a dummy that wear dresses :pachaha:

He won 4 rounds on my card and a lot of the rounds Canelo won were close rounds. Many people in this thread thought he won 5+ rds with what was clearly the wrong gameplan. I don't think it's a stretch to say he could have got a W using the style that Canelo still has problems with imo. :manny: Canelo still resets when you give him a jab or a 1-2 with movement & he still follows guys.

their body languages midway through the fight said it all. canelo looked like he was in a sparring session and cotto looked like he was in the fight of his life. same nervousness he showed when margarito was breaking him down. cotto didn't make canelo dig deep even once. when cotto would get aggressive, canelo would come back with some crazy ass flurries like sit down old man:childplease:.....leaving cotto like :sadcam:.....my only complaint is that canelo showed him too much respect in the 12th. he had him out on his feet then he clearly stepped his foot off the gas....he really coulda put cotto on a stretcher if he wanted. cotto got wobbly then started running for his life like Can I Live?:mjcry:.....don't even ask me how:youngsabo:

:what:

Only legit LWHs PBC have are Beast and Stevenson. I'm not even sure if Beast is with PBC or does he just fight their fighters. That division is spread out pretty well.Stevenson has been losing stram on his name since signing with Al and KKK has been the most active LHW since that happened.

PBC wows us becuz they have over 200 fighters signed, which is cool but of those 200, most people can probably only name 25 to 30 and I'm being a bit generous.

And if this is every PPV thread is going to turn into a "Floyd is so underappreciated" thread then I will remorsefully leave this joint. We are so much better than that. nikkas sounding like real casuals and that the only fighters they know of are Floyd and the guy he's fighting at that time.

Yes, Beterbiev is signed to PBC.

Artur Beterbiev, Sakio Bika, Lucian Bute, Anthony Dirrell, Fonfara, Edwin Rodriguez, Humberto Savigne, Michael Seals, Adonis Stevenson, and Thomas Williams are the LHWs of PBC.

You're right about most people not knowing who's PBC.

BUT the REAL REASON I quoted this post was because of the thing you said at the end:wow:

These Floyd stans be acting all insecure anytime someone gets too much props for their likings...I'm sick of it:birdman:

That nikka is RETIRED and no matter what happens in a Combat Sport, these nikkas come running with their TMT hats ready to bring up Floyd's name, even when has absolutely 0 to do with the event:camby:

shyt is stupid:snoop:

Oh, and Floyd is not coming out of retirement to fight Canelo again just based off this fight.

If Canelo beats GGG and maybe even beats Cotto again (if a rematch happens) then I can see Floyd coming back for a rematch. Canelos stardom would be huge by then.

If GGG beats Canelo Floyd might come out of retirement for a 154/155 catchweight.

And I have no idea how people counted Canelo out over Cotto. I like both fighters actually, and think it was a good/tough fight for both, but if you ever watched Canelo you would know that he had just about every advantage except footwork.

Cotto's footwork is what made this fight even as close as it was. Whenever Cotto was flat footed or stationary, Canelo lit his ass up.

But Canelo sucks at moving his feet. It's how Floyd masterfully picked him apart and how Lara's running ass almost beat him (if anything)
Floyd has no reason to come out of retirement for Canelo or 97G...He's turning 40 soon and doesn't need the money nor does he need another fight for legacy...

I think Canelo has a much better chance at beating 97G than people are giving him right now...The only thing 97G has on Canelo is punching power because he's the naturally bigger man...From a stylistic standpoint this is a very good matchup for Canelo...Canelo's style is tailored for rough limited pressure fighters that come forward and we have seen far lesser skilled boxer punchers give 97G trouble...My only concern in this one is Canelo gassing late and taking unnecessary punches which could lead to a stoppage...

shookboyz don't want it with #CaneloCartel

Better watch that shyt talking cause they may get what you wish for...

Behind You
The Coli needs an app like that Social Fixer one that removes political bullshyt from posts on Facebook except this one will eliminate all Floyd posts from view because I am thoroughly annoyed with The Stans turning every fukking boxing thread into some bullshyt dikksucking Floyd discussion.
Floyd's retired and he has Instagram...go worship at the source and spare the rest of us from having to scroll past post after post about him in a thread about 2 other fighters.

As for the card last night:

While I thought 119-110 was a bit too much, I do think that Canelo won this fight handily. He landed more, his punches were more effective, he should good defense and just all around was the better fighter last night. It was an entertaining scrap though. Could have done without Max and Lampley sucking Golvokin's dikk all night though.
And Mrs Cotto's tittays were looking magnificent.:shaq:

From the way he got shyt on by Lampley and them I would have to say that Rigondeaux fukked himself royally last night. If ever there was a time for him to go outside his usual style and try to look aggressive it was last night against a lesser opponent. Instead he all but guaranteed that HBO won't air any of his fights and the only place Jay-Z will be able to show him is on Centric.

Vargas and Miura was :blessed:, if only that Japanese brother had even an ounce of defensive capabilities aside from blokcing punches with his face. That was a damn good fight though.

shyt is disgusting. insecure floyd stans always gotta remind us how great floyd was like we don't know he was the best of this era. "yea canelo did good but remember he got dominated by floyd....please don't forget about him:mjcry:".........aint no shame in getting beat by the best.
