Showtime has a smaller base than HBO but they still always beat Pac's PPVs with the Mayweather events.
and same rules don't apply now. Canelo doesn't demand as much as Floyd yet and he has a much bigger upside than Golovkin due to their age.

HBO is dumb for riding GGG while slandering Canelo. If anyone should know better how things work it's them... What's the reason then...?

If someone seriously think that Canelo is literally afraid of Golovkin, then I don't know what to say to that. Child like logic...
Canelo proved plenty of times that he is not afraid to fight the best, in fact he is the only one out of the two fighters who has elite opponents on his resume. 3-4 of them, including the best fighter of the last generation. They just marinate the fight but boxing fans quick to shame him forgetting all the things he's done so far cause now the popular KO monster is on the other end of the dikk... So jut the usual...

For the record: Yeah Canelo should have been more honest about this situation not inviting Golovkin to fight then dropping the belt but otherwise I'm sure that he is not "afraid' but they just simply marinate it one more year until the next September and he surely doesn't deserve all the backlash he's got from the media ad casuals while Golovkin the fighter who really didn't fight any quality gets the pass and remains unscratched every time...
If you're looking for reasons what some people's problem with the GGG phenomenon, then that's it!

(and his big mouthed bytch ass coach, and his promoter and that they always just talk and victimize themselves)

You don't have to be "afraid" in order to duck. It could be a business decision when you know deep in your heart it will likely be a brutal L for you

And subscriber base is irrelevant for ppv since you can order without being a subscriber. Mayweather obviously was gonna sell more ppv than manny but fact remains showtime only made money on two of the 6 fights and had to split the purse on the biggest one. Their reward for giving mayweather (and al haymon) all that money was al haymon making sure non of his fighters have exclusive deals with showtime and creating PBC to get his fighters on other networks

HBO portion of the Revenue was 9 million :dead:

HBO's boxing business shows signs of fatigue

The fight generated damn near $450 million...thats a W to you :heh:

So showtime only made $9 million too. Damn they really got got with that deal then :ohhh:

As far as HBO 9 mil not bad since they didn't promote or pay for the press stuff and manny was paid by mayweather. They basically got 9 mil for nothing :ehh:

Uh he would :comeon:
Canelo stans said he should stay at 154 and wait for WW to move up to fight him.....
I never said and frankly I also didn't see that other Caelo fans would have said that... :yeshrug:

We want the Golovkin fight, and I'm sure that most of us were angry when we found out it getting marinated. We are not some evil entity who willingly want to wait one more year.

but important difference is that we don't blame Canelo for everything and we don't forget what he's done so far and we don't judge him solely over one suppoed duck which in reality is probably just an annoying but sadly business wise sensible marinating.

I've never heard Golovkin's fans criticizing him for anything btw... If we're talking about stans already.
Canelo fan base is a much more reasonable, logical as I saw so far. Of course in reaction to the over the top hatred and criticism we're also trolling you and other GGG fans but that's just how it is, we wouldn't do it proactively...

What can we criticize GGG for? Like y'all like to point out he's the B side with no leverage since he ain't fight anyone. All he got is 3 MW belts and no MW rushing to fight him. All he can do is wait for Canelo to give him a chance and keep fighting the dudes willing to sign that paperwork.

Just because they split the share evenly doesn't mean they ended up with the same revenue, we don't know what the expenses for each network were.
