I think GGG's chin is very suspect (Curtis Stevens hurt him, Kell Brook too) but I think canelo's power comes from cumulative damage not one punch power. Guys like khan and Kirkland don't count they don't have a chin.

I don't know if Canelo would be able to dig into GGG like that, he's a lot smaller than Brook height and size wise.
monroe visibly hurt him to the body too. I think little g is vulnerable to the body and canelo has the best body shots in the game right now. I said it before. canelo will set up that ko with body punches. once little g's body goes, his power will be sapped. and he won't even be able to lift his arms anymore. then canelo will bludgeon him.

All honesty, I think GGG has really fukked with Canelo's career, and it all started with the WBC MW strap. The Cotto fight was going to happen almost certainly at 154, until Cotto picked up the middleweight belt from Sergio. I definitely think Saul planned on staying in 154 for a while, and fighting Cotto had more to do with the money than the belt. I mean, there's a lot of budding stars at 147 that will undoubtedly move up to 154, and a move to 160 will ruin that at least in the short term.

I think a move to 160 is inevitable, but not a move that Canelos team anticipated so quickly. With public demand almost forcing them to move up, I think this is a huge dilemma for them.

Fam they don't care. They just put 50k in a stadium and do over 300k ppv fighting nobodies.

These reporters, media, fans and hbo talk that shyt but team Canelo don't care because he is still bringing in that money n is still the biggest draw in the sport.

All these rumors saying that his next fight bout to be at 160 tho, nah?

I suppose Canelo can move back down to 154, but I ain't trying to see Canelo at MW unless he's ACTUALLY filled into the weight class.

Its going to be interesting to see what their team does. I also wonder how tough 154 is to make for Canelo.

Canelo did what I expected him to do.

His stamina seemed to improve. Smith had him working for it and really throwing bombs. He still fought in his spurts, but it just seemed like we got more spurts out of him this time. Great body shots and lots of sharp combinations.
Smith hung tough and kinda touched Canelo up in spots, but never really did anything serious and got washed. He reacted too slow to when Canelo wouuld take breaks and would never go to work on the inside like he should. The talent gap was huge though and it showed.

Canelo was tossing out Balrog combos all night.

Underwhelming ass ppv. Bunch of fukking showcase fights.

I guess I now know what a ShoBox ppv would look like. :snoop:

Exactly

Either it's a big fight (WW) or bum. That's all there is to it.

in regards of ppv? I think with good promotion they can do 250k but hbo ain't even giving these nikkas a 24/7 :snoop:

idk but I think fighters should move up/down when they ready. Fans/media don't get to dictate at what weight a nikka fights at they are same ones who will be like "he shouldn't have moved up so fast :manny: " when nikkas take a L because they're bodies haven't adjusted to the weight class or they weren't ready.

That's why I wanted Ward to get 2-3 fights in before kkkov I want the best version of Ward and the best version of kkkov.

Got that feeling it would make that. Best 2 fighters p4p going at it and not making that much :francis:
