As far a entertainment value, that's prolly the best fight to be made for canelo right now. But if canelo lands the shots Lara and trout did, hurd is gonna take some life altering damage. That type of opponent is exactly what canelo craves. There's a reason hurd keeps his ass at 154. He knows that style will get him bludgeoned at middleweight. These guys have legit one punch knockout power. But still....just as a fan. That would be fun to watch

Who else?.....this dude just beat the two best middleweights in the world back to back. That would be like Crawford moving up to welter and beating Spence and Thurman right off the bat. I can't give anybody the p4p crown if they're not beating top guys. Right now I got canelo, Crawford, lomachenko, and spence. I think Crawford is more skilled than Spence but Spence has the better resume right now. But canelo would destroy any guy on their resumes. I put more stock in the guys they beat rather than skill. Cause any top guy can look like sugar ray when they're fighting average fighters.

There might not be anybody who could make Danny Jacob's look ordinary like canelo did tonight. Yea canelo started slippin late but overall he never let Danny get into his groove. There were legit times where Danny looked like a sparring partner. Canelo is a different level and people gotta give it up. But Crawford and Spence have the potential to be there too. They just need the opposition.

he fought how he fought for a reason and that reason is Canelo. Hurd loses a lot of his + when he moves up but fukk all that ........if and when this gets made ill take that avi off your hands for a few weeks then

Fight was a lot tamer than I thought it would be. Had it 116 - 112 for Canelo, but there were 2 or 3 swing rds. At worst the fight is a draw, but I felt like the right man won.

Jacobs lost because he has a style identity crisis. Dude is actually an athletic brawler, but since he can box a lil and punch a lil he thinks he' s some type of boxer puncher. Dude lacks the refined technique to be a true boxer puncher. He's always at his best when he crowds you and swarms you with hooks and uppercuts, kinda like a poor mans Terry Norris. His long distance attacks aren't disciplined enough to be effective for long stretches. Sooner or later he gotta wing hooks at you to be effective or he'll be shut out.

Jacobs is a big dude, but he a lil nikka at heart. He think he a finesse fighter, but he's not. He moves around and does lil defensive poses while getting lit up by Canelo jab, hooks, and counters.

He should have been moved up to 168. He can't make 160 effectively anymore. Dude's performance was flat as hell. No pep in his step at all. He pushed his straight shots and lot of his punches lacked snap.
Jacobs will always lose to the elites like canelo n ggg because he can't control rounds as good as they do. There were so many times Jacobs would just move and run for no reason. nikka gave the fight away by not being aggressive enough in the first half. He didn't even make a strong enough case to say he got robbed.

Jacobs needed to be swarming and attacking Canelo early and often. Just straight Salido/Chino type shyt.
