Congratulations feminism. You won :salute: Women should be much happier fending for themselves now that they don't have a man to dominate them

What's funny is that there are recent studies that show that young women are actually starting to seek out the "traditional family" again...slowly, some women are going back to the housewife role.

Sociologist are blaming it on the new economy, especially this post-recession economy...but I don't know. I think that a lot of women are starting to regret what feminism did. Work kind of sucks, men could only ever take pride in the fact that they were being REAL MEN and taking care of their families. I don't think that's an innate aspect of women.

Smarter and more dominant then his woman. Obviously thats easier said then done when you have a generation of men, that were raised by women and overbearing mothers :snoop:

Simps make everything harder than what it should be

Point me to those studies breh, I'm curious. And I hope they're delineated by race as well :youngsabo:

Here are some articles : It's a lot to get through, but in general...many women are beginning to regret the result of excessive feminism in the 60's and 70's...some think it's time to "lean out".

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot on race, but to be honest, a lot of this seems to be coming from white yuppie types...which is actually highly interesting. These white women hoot and holler about womens issues and try to drag black women into it...meanwhile, they're just trying to become "hipster housewives"....:dead:

This was the big one that really caught my attention at first. Some straight GEMS in here, like, “I’m really grateful that my husband and I have fallen into traditional gender roles without conflict,” says Ireland. “I’m not bitter that I’m the one home and he goes to work. And he’s very happy that he goes to work.” It's beautiful....:salute: http://nymag.com/news/features/retro-wife-2013-3/

Hipster Housewives and the New Domestics : http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/0...ted-in-self-sustainability-learn-to-bake-sew/

British women straight up prefer being housewives, also interesting is that many feel pressure from other women to go against their innate feelings : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...itish-women-pick-housewife-having-career.html

Another article on Brits but I'm sure that much of it pertains to America as well : http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...for-1950s-role-as-stayathome-mums-527857.html

Many women are having babies in their 20's and putting off work and university because it's simply how biology intended for things to be : http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/05/10/why-women-should-have-babies-before-25/

It's also making a small comeback in pop culture : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/wo...is-the-1950s-housewife-making-a-comeback.html

There is other research out there.

I think it's a positive movement.

I don't think most women would mind staying home with their families but let's be honest here. People work because they have to. We live in a dual income society and unless you plan in making 100k on your own or don't want to send your kids to school, own a home, save, travel, pay loans etc you can't afford to have a housewife. Most of you make it seem like the women are trying to instigate a gender war when in reality people just can't afford that lifestyle.

Candace is well off, she can afford this. Most of my stay at home mom friends are the same- they come from wealthy families marry into wealth and can afford to stay at home and only use college as a means to find a husband (not to find a way to build and maintain a future). From what I've seen being a housewife is largely a white privilege.

Let's face it, blacks have been poor and kept poor in this country. We have not had time to build family or generational wealth like whites have. Now we can do that, so all of us work because we have to and hopefully it will benefit future generations. We shouldn't put down black career women because this is our chance to progress.

Just because you lead doesn't mean you're always right. It takes a leader worth a shyt to be open to seeing past himself and his opinions.

Hasn't this already been addressed several times in this thread? :comeon:

A man should be a quality man first and then a woman should submit to him. Several guys in this thread have already stated the importance of the man being on top of his game as a prerequisite.

Now, if a woman chooses to submit to the dude who's d-boy living in his mom's basement with three babymamas already in front of her, then that's her fault.

Peace

Has it been addressed already? I wouldn't know. Haven't been reading through, just responding to posts.

But even a man on top of his game WILL NOT ALWAYS BE RIGHT; human nature and whatnot. That's the only thing I'm saying here. Not much else.

Ok, so he's not worthy of submission unless he has his money right, his own things, his own place AND he makes you feel all tingly inside with a swarm of butterflies in your stomach 24/7? And he must throw his sport coat over a puddle whenever it rains? And he must keep a smile on your face at all times no matter how combative you are(like in this thread for example)?

You just trying to push your argument, but you're pushing it off a cliff. I don't like having to do this, but I have to this in this situation.......................

Your definition of what a wife is is relative. Not every woman is Michelle Obama or idealistically independent minded. Alot of women look to their men to guide them. I dont see why you're degrading these women by referring to them as animals.

LMAO! how you gonna be a grown ass person and look to another grown ass person for "guidance"?

you grown....you not five! lol :russ:

Im sorry but this doesnt make any sense, friend. Just because you turn 18 does not mean you know everything there is to know. No matter the age we always remain students of life and there is knowledge and male experience that is vital for a woman to know to traverse the world we live in. Female CEO's in corporate America, a cut throat world of men, who do you think think they learn from? Friend, mentoring is a a vital aspect of life and anyone who says they dont need guidance, is a liar.
