The first time #cancelwwenetwork trended was after Royal Rumble 2015 when Daniel Bryan got thrown out then wwe trolled the fans by flashing ‘Shattered Dreams’ on screen. WWE and it’s people assumed the fans wasn’t going to do shyt. January 26, 2015 Raw did 4.42 million viewers. September 30, 2019 raw did 2.56 million viewers. That’s a 58% decline. When you view your audience as marks and losers, things will change without knowing what hit you.

And that was the infamous snowed-in episode. They hate acknowledging it but WWE's viewership and demographic numbers are going down quicker than the amount of people cutting the cord.

The trend this time around might actually affect their subscriber numbers. By the time Royal Rumble 2015 took place, TNA was demoted to Destination America and Lucha Underground was only on El Rey, two stations that no one really has.

This time around we have AEW on TNT, Impact/NJPW both on AXS, MLW/NWA/AEW's B Show on YouTube, not to mention the fact that NJPW didn't even have regular English commentary back then.

Why? Their only option is to walk out on the company. Wrestler have no power.
That right there is why Vince makes an effort to sabotage everyone. When nobody was listening to Austin about a need to promote a match between him and Brock and to put it on pay per view to get some money out of it and instead wanted to throw it on raw unannounced as a king of the ring qualifier, he left and there was still demand from the crowd to make nice with him so he’d come back. By making everyone else a nobody and locking them into 4-5 year deals, nobody gets to hold Vince’s feet to the fire and force him to do shyt properly.

That Austin Brock move was the first sign of Vince going :flabbynsick:

Austin Brock should of headline KOTR 2002

The logic behind Austin being in the KOTR tourney still makes no sense. .
