From what it seems is that individual American cities have more black culture than all of Canada.:beli: Black culture is vastly different in different cities in the same states in America (i.e. Bay Area vs. L.A.). DC and Baltimore are like an hour apart and have completely different black cultures from music to accents. People have a bad habit of talking like there is one monolithic black culture in America thats limited to buying Jordan's and shyt when in reality its hella diverse and creative... everything from Oakland sideshows to DC Go-go's. And you can’t call attention to a single unique Canadian cultural trend? :gucci:Prove me wrong, I'm just an ignorant American. :troll:

The CDOS (!) of is small and doesn’t have +40,000,000 people

If you belong to Jamaican, Nigerian or Haitian communities - you’re not in search of an identity. You already have one!

There are black *communities in Canada. Not a black *community. Some Americans struggle to understand this.
I get that they're are black first gen immigrant communigies. But im talking about second and third gen Immigrants. It's like they don't know what they are. You got Jamaicans saying walahi and Somalis.speaking patois . Not to mention white/asian folk who think they're black. It's just a bizarre place. To make.things worse no one sees anything wrong with it.

A little historical advice...
check back in about 10 years....

whether egypt, ny, timbuktu etc

anywhere that welcomes people.....they unite...share culture...

that place usually always become a powerhouse of knowledge and progress....

the opposite of that is for example maga towns.....stunted

one should be very careful the stupid shyt they promote and take pride in

I mean idk much bout canadians :ld: only thing i really know is what a few of you say on here but everything here is american centric. Like yall post in american politics threads but i cant even tell you if yall even got a supreme court :heh: your most favorite sport is in an american league that yall never win :heh: and your biggest black star pretends he's from the south :heh:
So from the outside looking in canadian culture seems to be scraps of american culture.
But what is canadian culture like? Especially for black canadians.
Educate me.
:ld:

Black people are pretty much the same. We mostly come from the Caribbean, Africa, or escaped slavery from the US and came to Canada. I've got black family all over Canada and the US, all the way down to Texas, North Carolina and Oakland. Black people from the East Coast are almost like Southern people. There are links between Black people from Scotia to New Orleans.

Canada likes to pretend they don't have a racism problem, but if you were to ask Black and Indigenous people, we'd tell you the opposite. Most of our culture is American. 65% of the entire population lives a 90 minute drive from a US border, so most of the media we get comes from the US.

Outside of major towns Canada is very white, so if you are anything else you stand out. But in Toronto your surrounded by every race and culture.

Edit - think Brooklyn or London UK.
