Refuse the interview.

Jim Caldwell refused either one or multiple team's interviews because he felt like they were shams. Eventually got the HC job in Indy even though he did a terrible job. Now his name is on the radar again for a HC spot.

I live in the United States
We all know Dan Snyder respects the Rooney Rule :skip:
You can't be mad @ Danny there. He wanted Mike Shanny all along
So did Dallas. So while he was always the guy since BEFORE the season ended (cuz it was reported that the Redskin AF1 was spotted in Denver)
The Rooney Rule made it that we couldn't even hire M.S. until he reviewed a black person first
Now if we look at this like an equation, it should be an easy fix.
Situations need to be monitored so Owners are not doing this on purpose to avoid hiring black coaches, but i don't think its that deep... could be wrong after learning about Donald Sterling tho :damn:
Of course it's real. This is the same guy in pre-draft interviews asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute. Would you expect anything different?
:ohhh: Maybe thats why Dez banged her out?

Within the power structure of America, there are many older white men who still consciously or subconsciously subscribe to the idea that black people are not smart enough or in some way good enough to do the job. The Rooney rule allows these white men to be exposed to candidates they otherwise would not have even chosen to interview, giving these white men a chance to break down their own prejudices when they are impressed by a black candidate. Now over time, I expect more black candidates to get hired because of this rule and 25-50 years from now, there will be enough success shown by these black candidates that the prejudices held by these white men are unfounded, and things will become more fair. In a few generations, the Rooney rule won't even be needed anymore, and we'll look back when we're old and tell our grandkids about the time when black coaches didn't even get interviewed, so the rule had to be in place.

That's the value I see in the rule and other such initiatives.

We shouldnt be worried about black coaches in the NFL.The way its going every offseason it seems at least 1 wll always be hired and thats progress even tho its slow progress. We need more in college football.Out of 120 coaches less than 10 are black if im not mistaken.
