Jim ZornNah fukk that. You gotta go in there and shine regardless. With the nfl you never how long a coach gonna be there, or a GM for that matter. If they move/leave/ get fired that interview can leave an impression.
Also they talk to other teams and that can help you. I think one coach got hired like that. Can't remember who tho.
Its still a good thing to have that interview.
I interviewed for a job and the manager later called and told me i had no chance in hell to get it. He said he interviewed me because he wanted me to have that experience so that when the next job opens up i will be better prepared (he was a fellow brother from GT). When I was interviewed for a later opening i knocked that shyt out the park and got the job.
And this is WITH the Rooney Rule in placeAlarming fact:Out of 25 head coaching jobs filled there are 4 minority coaches (3 black head coach +Ron Rivera) 0 black offensive coordinators and the rest of us are either defensive coordinators, d line coaches, o line coaches etc.

happens at everysingle job, in fact people will interview people of both genders to meet quota even when that job is realistically taken up by an internal promotion. rules allow for people to keep tabs
People in power don't want ppl keeping tabs, cuz then the truth would be exposed
