When I said "due to your own racial biases" I meant that is why we get assistance. You might have thought I was saying you don't like it cuz of your racial bias which could also be true. But wasn't the point I was making
Nah fukk that. You gotta go in there and shine regardless. With the nfl you never how long a coach gonna be there, or a GM for that matter. If they move/leave/ get fired that interview can leave an impression.
Also they talk to other teams and that can help you. I think one coach got hired like that. Can't remember who tho.

Its still a good thing to have that interview.

I interviewed for a job and the manager later called and told me i had no chance in hell to get it. He said he interviewed me because he wanted me to have that experience so that when the next job opens up i will be better prepared (he was a fellow brother from GT). When I was interviewed for a later opening i knocked that shyt out the park and got the job.

Alarming fact:Out of 25 head coaching jobs filled there are 4 minority coaches (3 black head coach +Ron Rivera) 0 black offensive coordinators and the rest of us are either defensive coordinators, d line coaches, o line coaches etc.
And this is WITH the Rooney Rule in place :beli:

happens at everysingle job, in fact people will interview people of both genders to meet quota even when that job is realistically taken up by an internal promotion. rules allow for people to keep tabs
And that right there is the gist of the issue. Keeping tabs.
People in power don't want ppl keeping tabs, cuz then the truth would be exposed

The Rooney Rule helps tho....more coaches have been hired after the rule been in place then before. The real ? is why cant we be OWNERS of teams too :manny:

The Steelers were going to hire Ken Wisenhunt, and only interviewed Mike Tomlin because of the Rooney Rule.


meanwhile the Dolphins(Jeff ireland) thought Tomlin was too "hip hop" :snoop:

Black People aren't the real reason "The Rooney Rule" or BET or Black Colleges are in place. These things have to be created to stop Racism. Just cause racism has changed doesn't mean these institutions should be shut down. No Rooney Rule, very less Blacks will ever even get a chance to get interviewed. People shouldn't be mad at the Rooney Rule and Affirmative Action.

They should be mad at racism and especially White Racism in America that has been institutionalize and why we even have to have these institutions in place to try and bring balance. Without these counters it would be left to the same old system that rarely promotes Blacks or give us a chance. There wouldn't need to be a Black College if other colleges were more racially diverse. There would be no need for the Rooney Rule if Football Head Coaching was more racially diverse.
