Can we talk about how it seems that Warner Bros. has no faith in doing a true "Man of Steel" sequel?

i enjoyed mos, but for them to ditch the best superman movie ever.
in favor of fukk'n ben affleck as batman.
they have lost their fukk'n mind.

how the fukk are you going to cast ben affleck as a far fetched batman, when he sucked in daredevil?

Would prefer having a real MOS sequel that maybe hints at Batman or other members near the end. Then either do a Batman solo movie or have the teamup as the 3rd MOS movie. I understand that $$$ rules though :yeshrug:

DC saw Avengers and was like :whoa: we want our billion dollars too friends

Fox saw the same thing then ran and hid in the bathroom when them Days of Future Past receipts came in, I can't fry Sony for Amazing Spiderman 2, because that was supposed to be a setup movie

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They fukked up and fumbled so bad with POS (I mean MOS) that they scrambling to fix it.

They had one shot to nail it and they didn't. They should've done a true origins movie and saved Zod for the sequel. So what if most people know the back story. They could've rewrote it. Batman Begins was a dope origins movie and set up the joker at the end perfectly.

And fukk a justice league movie. DC has characters that can stand alone and make money. Marvel had to do it they way they did because they don't have all of the rights to characters and they had to make sure they maximize revenue with the ones they already had.

All superman needs is dope writers and dope villains. Later for all that other shyt.

superman only has two dope villains you can use who don't have.
or, create the corny stigma for superman.

zod was one of them,...
darkseid is the next.

imo, mos was one of the best comic movies of all time.
i don't know how or why people try to crap on that movie.
they won't make another superman movie better than that one.
as a matter of fact, i liked it more than any other marvel character movie.
after they ruined the original spiderman and xmen franchises.

i like the spiderman reboot greatly, too.
when, it comes to JLA.
if snyder can't do it, or the guy who did dark knight.
they kind of need to leave the JLA thing alone.
i also, agree on marvel needing to circle the wagons on avengers.
as that was the only higher drawing intellectual general fan property left.
marvel had not sold to the highest bidder.
so, it made sense for them to make avengers.

whats interesting is that, if that earlier report/thread is true about marvel c-blocking fox but having a good working relationship with sony to the point where they may co-produce an Avengers 3 with Spiderman on the team... then I wouldn't be surprised if fox says fukk it and, assuming a good ROI on the upcoming fantastic four movie, decide to explore a F4/X-Men crossover flick 3-4 years from now.

The trend/direction now in these superhero films clearly seems to be team-ups and gang-ups, throwing as many faces in their without creating a cluster fukk; whether it be the avengers, or what they're tryna do with the sinister 6, or the x-men in general. DC sees this and probably figures that they don't got the same problem as marvel when it comes to multiple property owners, have just as many well known characters, yet they aint eating off anyone else but the same 2 characters. so yea, i def feel they got a "fuk this! we bout to jump in this bytch!" vibe to them.

Avengers 3 w/ Spiderman. X-Men/F4 crossover. If any of these things happen or even if they dont and its just the ensemble cast of characters that Avengers and X-Men can bring in on their own, DC doesn't want to be on sidelines when all that is going down.

actually if marvel/sony/fox wanted to make a boom.
they could make a ghostrider/spidey/wolvie/grey hulk is the new fantastic four.
it could be a one shot movie, or a sequel as the story arc had two distinct situations just ready for film.

oh, enjoy the art adams pix, and some other charts and artwork.

Similar situation happened when Disney first bought Marvel they wanted to go full fledged with The Avengers movie. They didn't think they should waste time with the separate origins movies for Thor & Cap luckily Marvel convinced Disney this was the best way to get the general audience to know about their characters.
:leon: dont remember this story.... smart move....

Good read peeped this article http://www.businessweek.com/article...vels-superhero-at-running-movie-franchises#p1

There were also people at Disney who expressed doubts about Marvel’s film strategy. Says Iger: “I remember someone [saying] on the Disney side, ‘Don’t you want to do Avengers first, and introduce Thor and Captain America in that, and then if they work bring them out afterward?’ ” Feige was adamant that this would be a mistake. He wanted audiences to get to know Thor and Captain America on their own before combining them with Iron Man and the Hulk. Disney was persuaded. Feige was relieved. He had enough things to worry about.

This article came out before Cap TWS came out so the chart will definitely be changed now. Since as of the right Captain America TWS is top earning movie for 2014 Domestic and Worldwide.

i won't front like a i'm a super comic nerd (outside of x-men....they were my shyt growing up), but it just seems like a character like superman is outdated for today's climate....that's where i feel some of the hate came in. iron man, spider man, and batman (some of the more successful franchises) have more complex and flawed super heroes, at least in these reboots, IMO, it's hard to do anything edgy with super man - tho they tried. anyway, would be nice to see a legit Sequel since outside of the too-long length, I feel the real drag from MOS was having to get all the back story in. now that the foundation is laid, i think they could've done a good job with pt 2

Man I'm a not even casual comic book reader. I might listen to one of the comic book cat's at my job start going off on a tangent and some of it is interesting. Bit imo Superman is the least interesting popular comic book character out there, from his costume to how he assimilates into society just everything about the guy his story is just absolutely boring to me, and why they keep making movies about him is just :mindblown:

i believe superman is always given a nod to have a green lit film budget.
from the fact, the number of generational based draws it can bring in without much.

imo, i agree superman is a one of the most absolute boring.
yet, the mos, was such a great movie.
that it finally solved all the issues any general fan could have previously expressed.

I heard DC ain't doing small movies with their comic book properties. They just going in with one Justice League movie after the other, but all will be part of a story/narrative leading up to some huge culmination movie. So Batman v Superman isn't even really a sequel to MOS, they are pretty much going to acknowledge that closer to release. Heard it is going to be more adapted from the New 52 DC comics as opposed to historical DC to.
