Everywhere...You never there.
Talib used to be overrated, but he's probably underrated at this point. Rap fans have been shytting on dude relentlessly for the last decade. :manny:

OP ain't saying nothing controversial.

When the hate started, the floodgates were open. Non stop pouring in... I think his outside the booth antics really triggered folks to start looking at his catalogue with extra scrutiny and criticism.

TOT > BOBS

:ehh:

low key tho... although mos is the superior rapper

Let's be real Talib raps off beat and has ruined so many great beats with his rambling:mindblown:
There will be a smooth ass beat from Dilla, Ye, 9th etc and this nikka will start rambling off beat for 6 minutes:what:

:mindblown:

nikka was spittin off beat jibberish fukkin up another great beat :mindblown:

I can tolerate him on a verse or two, but I don't typically like hearing an entire album of him because of what you said about the off beat rapping. I peeped that back in the 90's when I first started hearing his stuff :francis:

calling him silk tha shocker is a stretch because at least he has bars. but I can understand the sentiment tho.

True, but for every one of these songs, he's got no less than 5 of these:

and look at where every single one of these dudes ended up :heh:

That whole song is trash

:scusthov: these are some of those early kanye still trying to learn how to rap songs. consequence is fine, and so is common. but kanye and talib ain't cuttin the mustard. and that track is weak.

It's not underrated. It is THE most important thing a rapper brings to the table.

I meant from standpoint of how most people think it's easy:yeshrug: that anyone one can just pick up a mic and rap:stopitslime:

Traditionally it's not by most and even from the people it's been born from to be considered a respected art form.

But it takes skill to be able to flow
You have to have an ear for it
Like eye and hand coordination to listen and speak accordingly to the beat takes skill

It's what biggie excelled in

it's not just Biggie. Every single great rapper has a great flow. There are great rappers without deep lyrics (Snoop instantly comes to mind) but there is no single great rapper without a great flow.
