Can we discuss how to change this police corruption?

Just got my Raleigh PD application and I'm gonna put it in soon. Looking to move later to Miami PD, but how would i not fall into the trap of being corrupt? Rephrasing it, what could I do or anyone do to be the change departments need?

Cops are entrusted with a certain amount of authority over others. Thats their job. Most humans, at times, fukk off at their job, take shortcuts, whatever. Cops are no different.

Sorry to break it to you but you wont ...not because of anything you do but because of the nature of the job.

The role of the police is to enforce the will of the elite on the masses.. the morality of the enforcer must bend to suit the morality of the bosses.

It is what it is breh...its like working for the sewage treatment plant...you dont have to roll around and enjoy the shyt but you WILL get some stink on you...all you can do is try not to get too dirty

The other way around, education should be a requirement to become an officer of the law.

I agree with education being an essential prerequisite. Most corrupt cops are uneducated a$$holes who loves the power and don't know anything about psychological/sociological aspects of approaching/handling people.

Also, black cops in black neighborhoods, latinos in latino hoods etc would be a great first start.
