I like quite a bit of Jay's music he's dropped over the years, but IMO the uncomfortable truth is Reasonable Doubt was his apex in regards to quality from head to toe.
I’m from Brooklyn and stopped fukking with Ye years ago but it’s true. Jay’s legacy will eventually be reduced to Beyonce, Watch The Throne and Roc Nation. His pre-Beyonce catalog is already forgotten by anyone who wasn’t outside in the 90s. When’s the last time you saw anyone mention Vol. 3? Jay has the most forgotten catalog of any rap legend by far
