The defense had ONE stop, no TOs, and gave up 38 pts. Daniels and Washington are good, they're not that good.

The defense had a lot of injuries so idk if you blame Glenn, but yes the defense was very bad.
that's the main thing I noticed. They've overcome Goff's turnovers before. But it was like Glenn couldn't call the right defense to stop Washington. It was like Washington had a counter for whatever the Lions defense did. And that's crazy for a rookie. Usually you can throw different looks to confuse a rookie qb. can't blitz cause Daniels gets the ball out quick or can avoid the rush. Can't sit back cause he's accurate. Just googled it.

The Lions did pressure Daniels 12 times on 20 blitzes, yet they failed to record a sack on any of those 12 pressures with extra rushers.

Yes the defense was bad, but they’re not the primary reason Detroit lost. Some of those points came off turnovers that gave Washington a short field. Also, Washington is a very high scoring offense (I think 5th in the league) and they barely punt.

Magic up there looking like a proud dad. Dan Snyder never showed that kind of love for the players (except for his one or two favorites), but Magic shows love to the whole squad. Players, coaches, trainers, errbody got dapped up. As a result, every player in that locker room has bought in and gives 100% for all 4 quarters. We finally have a team culture again...a winning team culture! Magic, Josh Allen, Doug Williams, and the front office have built something special, and Dan Quinn & the players have an energy we haven't seen in decades. Even when I talk to Cowboys fans when I'm outside, they big up JD5 & McLaurin. It seems like the whole DMV is rooting for this team, and I love to see it! Man, this is a great time to be a Skins/Commanders fan!

On a whole 'nother note, Magic sounded like one of those old school Midwest brehs talmboit "you already know, you already know"! You can't tell me that Magic doesn't have an orange fedora & matching belt and gators somewhere in his closet :mjlol:
I guess those so called basketball guys in the front office know what they're doing huh Ben Johnson

The Lions had the #1 offense with Goff. If he played decent they win last night, but they're not winning a Super Bowl with last night's defense.
That's the problem though, can you trust him to play up to level for 3-4 playoff games straight to win a Super Bowl. The playoffs are a different game than in the regular season. You're playing better defenses that are more schemed up to stop your strengths. I wouldn't be willing to trust Goff to not revert to his bad ways when facing adversity. QBs get exposed in the playoffs. He's a solid QB, not saying he's trash. I just think there is a ceiling on where a Goff lead team can take you. They could've won last night if they didn't have all those turnovers even with the bad defense.

Nfl teams need to do like nhl does and send a goon out there with a sole purpose of fukkin mahomes up. If mahome gunna draw penalties no matter what, it time for him to draw some well deserved ones

Goff those picks smh and Dan Campbell that play calling with Jameson Williams throwing that flea flicker and not taking a timeout with 12 men on the field. Should’ve ran Gibbs more.

I’d pack Ben Johnson U-Haul, help clean out his office and drive him from Southfield freeway to 94 west to middle belt to get him the fukk out of town
Sounds like he’s gone based on reports today. Good.

People clown the Philly tush push but the takeaway for me is that Philly’s coaching staff understands that keeping the offense on the field is the most important thing. If it’s 3rd and 1 you don’t fukk around, you whip out the play no one can stop and keep the chains moving. What we saw last night was an outright refusal to do that. 3rd and 1, up 7-3. In the red zone. They can’t stop Gibbs and instead of running we go empty backfield. That was the game to me.

I’m just stunned that this dude showed his ass like that. People will point to all the yards we had against a bad defense but who cares man. That game came down to situational football on a handful of plays and our guy was playing Madden instead of securing the win. And I truly believe it was emotional. Washington leaked bs on Johnson last offseason and he wanted to rub their face in shyt.

While I bleed Big Blue, I'm this close to pulling the trigger on copping two Daniels jerseys for my boys. I like the kid and our current status leaves little hope for the next several years. I just need to make sure he doesn't take a similar dip that CJ had this past season.
