:mjtf:THIS IS THE 5TH HIGHEST
SCORING TEAM IN THE NFL.
HE COMPLETES 69% OF HIS PASSES
ON THE SEASON...

THEYRE GONNA SCORE
AGAINST EVERYBODY.

IF YOU TURN THE BALL
OVER 4 TIMES YOU DONT
HAVE A CHANCE

I'm not saying they weren't going to lose anyway with the turnovers, but only one of those turnovers directly led to points. That's the pick 6. Washington drove on his defense for the rest of it.

The Goff fumble - 78 yard drive by Washington
The Goff interception - Pick 6
The Goff interception - That was the end of the half.
The Williams interception - 66 yard drive by Washington

It wasn't some situation where they were put into instant red zone situations.

They stopped them on downs in the first quarter, and a punt coming out of half, and literally just this missed field goal. He ain't do a good job in any way if those are the three stops.

The sad part is that it may be years before the Lions have a season this good again

I don’t think they’ll go back to being bottom dwellers but you gotta strike when the iron is hot, but who knows? They could be the NFC version of the Bills, but the Lions don’t have a Josh Allen
Yeah, biggest thing is they’re young at their best positions and includes offensive line. Hopefully at that point you can get the right QB and drop them into a great situation then go from there.

That’s still really tough to do though, because while Goff isn’t an elite QB, it’s very easy to do worse. Plus no guarantee everyone stays.

Basically what the Rams and Chiefs did, one did it through free agency and the other through the draft. Those are exceptions and not rules though.

I think this is the end. You cannot waste opportunities like this and maintain a high level of competitiveness. We will still be good, the roster remains impressive. But this was the year. All this to get the #1 seed only to fail like this??

This is a culture killing loss.
Shouldn’t have hired an Aggie it’s the Aggie special
