If the Lakers played in the East, then yeah I think they would have a shot at the playoffs.

But in the West? Hell no. You practically have to be a 50 win team to make the playoffs in the West. Lakers ain't winning 50 games or close to it.

almost everyone is counting out the Lakers this season, much like the Cowboys were counted out before the NFL season. now at the quarter mark, they are 3-1 and looking like a playoff team.

I think the Lakers will be MUCH better than many think. They are not a title contender, there really are only 4 teams you can count as title contenders in the league. But I think they can be a 5-6 seed in the West. Kobe and Nash will have resugent seasons. And Julius Randle will be ROY.

They'll be ALOT better than people think.

:whoa: pump da best brakes on the cowboys ... they beat TEN, STL & NO team playing like shyt

You dont become "injury prone" because of 1 season breh. That's what im saying.

Kobe has NEVER been injury prone. Nash, yes, he's been injured most of the time in LA. Kobe? No. You cant give him that tag because he suffered 1 single injury.

That would be as if LeBron messes up his MCL or something, misses 35-40 games, and then we just label him injury prone.

And yes, Kyrie IS injury prone (we already know that) and so is Kevin Love if you're saying Kobe is. 2013 season, Love only played in 18 games.

I dont think it is. A legit big man (either 4 or 5) is the most important position in the NBA.

Im not saying it will, but how can you say so matter of factly it wont? Boozer's ability on the offensive boards (combined with Hill and Randle) will make us a great rebounding team....something we lacked with Pau on the interior.

He won 2 games with a very good supporting class in the playoffs. That's it. He's not a factor and was DESTROYED by Lamarcus Aldridge with ease. He may be a "top 3 Center", but he's barely a Top 10 BIG MAN (PF and C) in the NBA.

Love, Cousins, Davis, Aldridge, Duncan, Griffin, Dirk, Horford, Jefferson, Noah, Bosh, Lopez, Randolph?

Nobody was winning with that Cavs roster. No coach. The roster was awful

If you think the Clippers run LA you're sadly mistaken:camby:

Lakers will always be the #1 franchise on the West Coast.

The Browns run Cleveland though and you better HOPE the Cavs win with this custom built roster or the Cavs will remain 1 of the laughingstocks of the NBA. Aint no excuses for NOT winning the title no matter how passive LeBron tries to be about it.

He better win with this stacked lineup:ufdup:

-We can argue semantics around the definition of "injury prone," but the facts are that Kobe and Nash missed much of last season and still have to prove they can play another season without a serious injury. LBJ, Love, and KI were healthy a majority of last year.

-The top 4 teams last year had top tier small forward talents and serviceable/ all star big men. LBJ, PG, MVP Kawahi, and Durant were the top 4 talents in last years final 4. The best big men (in no order) were Ibaka, Bosh, Duncan, and David West. Teams with top tier big men (aldridge, Dwight, Griffin, Dirk, etc.,) and a serviceable SF's (Batum, Parsons, Ariza, Igudala, etc.) did not make it into the later rounds. With that in mind, the small forward position seems like the most important to have a top tier talent (or at least a serviceable one), and the Lakers dont even have a starter.

-Boozer is what he is. He will give you 15 points a game and 7-8 boards. Pau averaged 10 boards a game last season, which was actually more than Boozer. Plus Pau is more gifted offensively. It's a downgrade at that position.

-How are you arguing that Dwight is not a factor on teams? He would get you to the playoffs. The Lakers won 27 games last year. He has a post game (not the cleanest, but serviceable) and a defensive presence on the floor that a lot of teams lack. Plus he is a rebounding bully. I dont see what getting knocked out of the first round has to do with him leaving and making your team worse. The Lakers weren't in any rounds. Are you saying the Lakers are better off without Dwight? Thats plain foolish.

-So because the Cavs roster was terrible its okay for coaches to just give up and not call any plays? Thats what Byron Scott did.

-The Clippers run LA right now and will for the near future because they have one. Lakers are still relying on old Kobe. No free agents are going to the Lakers. In fact, they are all leaving the Lakers for greener pastures.

-Why u talkin about the cavs like you aint a stan :sas1:

or are you :sas2:
