Can somebody give me three points about what makes game of thrones so amazing

So after seeing the social media uproar on last night's episode..i think its safe to say if your not watching your losing. If ppl can sit through season 2 of The Wire(i still haven't) and 4 seasons of true blood then you owe it to yourself to watch season 1 of GOT.

i never understood why people thought season 2 of the wire was so bad...its honestly an amazing season if u give it a chance. i guess most of us minorities got used to seeing thuggery and got pissed when they started showing whiteboy crimes.

it WAS tough to see at first cause i kept waiting for scenes in west baltimore, but the whole international angle was interesting as fukk and the investigation into the dead hookers was dope. made me want to become a cop on some real shyt.

anyway back to the topic, if nikkas dont wanna like game of thrones, then its ya loss

I tried watching the first ep 5 or 6 times just cuz its HBO and never got past the first few minutes, the white walker opener had me thinking GoT was some Syfy Channel shyt that nikkas who build their own computers watch


After giving it another try when BW Empire was over and Luck sucked I knocked out the whole season 1 in a weekend tho

1. If you watch Mad Men you will like this show.

2. Unpredictable as hell. Mirrors what happens in real life if these situations occurred. Witnesses get killed, families get slaughtered, and there are no true villains. Just people who want power.

3. The acting is top notch. If you go back and watch episode 1 all the way to the Red Wedding you will see the genius of this show and book.

That fact that it breaks the fukk out of the cliches you see in most High Fantasy works warrants that you give the show or books a chance.

A few years ago "Thrones" executive producer/writer David Benioff described the series as "The Sopranos" meets Middle Earth, a comparison he now regrets but can ably defend.

also it might have something to do with how all these tv dramas are stupid as hell and follow a similar contrived plot

..correct. Most tv dramas are stupid and follow some contrived plot. But this drama isn't anything like that. Aint nothing contrived about GOT.
