A friend enjoyed reading along in the books, but then she quit the books (too busy). The show alone depresses her.

I liked it a lot at first, but it fizzled out for me. Seems like they purposely drag the story on just to have a bunch of episodes. Lately I'd rather read episode recaps then sit through an hour of dialog only to move forward very little in the story. IMO the story this far could have been condensed into 2 seasons and the show would have been much better.

So after seeing the social media uproar on last night's episode..i think its safe to say if your not watching your losing. If ppl can sit through season 2 of The Wire(i still haven't) and 4 seasons of true blood then you owe it to yourself to watch season 1 of GOT.
