This isn't restricted to black folks, the industry doesn't discriminate. The old fat white dude got aired out
EDIT : LINK UPDATED >>> [
Did Lou Pearlman Molest a Backstreet Boy? | VH1 Blog. And he was doing this for years, if you think it was because the 'media caught on' it's bs, it was because he pissed off the wrong people for some unrelated reasons, same with b2k, same a lot of the female artists. As I mentioned in the other thread, gay George Michael calling out the American execs resulted him in FOREVER being banished from the US. Look up the lawsuits between him and his label, this is a guy who went multi platinum several times and sold more than your fave rappers combined, and still he got fukked over good so that he could NEVER have a single in the US. Look it up, you don't find it weird how he was having hits out in Europe but couldn't even break the charts in the US, all whilst he was going back and forth to the courts with his record label? It was politics, if this guy with such star power got fukked bad, what do you think the smaller folks in the industry who knows and witnessed this is going to do? Try and expose the truth at the expense of their livelihood? Unlikely, some tried and got fried, and I guarantee none of y'all would do it either if you were in their situation. It's easy to say what you could and would do when you are sitting at home and your only worry is about getting hoes and debating about classics. Pearlman and others like him were doing their sh1t for a while, and they only get 'caught' when its usually them upsetting others for unrelated sh1t. Pearlman was damn near doing his sh1t for almost a decade, how come y'all think that was contained? You niccaz remember this is backstreet boys and other major boy bands who got 10 x the attention of your fave rappers, and STILL, for almost 10 years nobody or nothing came out about what Pearlman was doing. Look at what they were saying from an interview off Vanity fair, y'all can find the excerpts related to it the mag online:
The November 2007 issue of Vanity Fair magazine reported claims of inappropriate sexual conduct... with several former and current boy band members, and male employees of Pearlman's.... none was willing to come forward publicly, and no charges were ever filed. Backstreet Boy Nick Carter's mother, Jane Carter, told the magazine: Certain things happened and it almost destroyed our family. I tried to warn everyone. I tried to warn all the mothers." She said, "I tried to expose him for what he was years ago"
This was the fuccin backstreet boys, and one they had their first hits, that sh1t was still going on, read up on lou pearlman and his shady history. In one deal his pissed off a guy who was higher than him on the pyramid, and it was only then that they were given the green light to expose this chump, but then they reconciled and then like magic, those who were ready to talk all of a sudden shut up about it. He got his in the end for something unrelated to his gay sh1t but more to do with his involvement with shady folks.
Most of y'all think life is like them disgruntled hoe exs of rappers who ready to air out their man, well those hoes have no money to lose and only money to gain when they do that, but for people in the industry, they earn their money from the biz and to expose someone from the biz is a career killer, this concept applies to any industry out there, not just music. This is common sense. When serious money is at stake, anybody and everybody who is eating off of it know when to shut up. Pimp C didn't give a sh1t, and more than once was very close to airing out all these homos. I respect that nicca to the core even though I am not a big fan of most of the UGK music, I respect him more than some of my favorite rappers who turned out to be chumps in real life compared to the image people have of them
i am blackballed for suing people in power.
so i know what you are saying to be true.
when you go against people of high grade or pedigree.
with a naive spirit, no power and low capital,....they will kill you.
no matter how right or how much evidence is in your favor.
justice does not exist in america at all.
so if something happens to you,..in general you can forget justice.
my original lawyer was the most successful defense lawyer in chicago.
yet,..after she took my case,..it seems she got cold feet and quickly was ready to not defend me in like a few days or weeks time. i was hiding out in another state with a plugged female of mine at the time. yet,..my lawyer was urge'n me to comeback like she was spooked.
i come back when she puts the pressure on me to motivate. yet, when i get back,..it was like somebody more powerful than her was making her move my case.
i know she was a high up partner at her firm.
as, later on i actually infiltrated her firm as a temp through an inhouse mailroom and copier firm.
so when i knocked on her door,..she looked like she saw a ghost!
plus i worked there now and she acted like she knew me.
except she did not treat me like the son,..i used to be treated as before i brought her my case.
i know she had enough power csuse she was that powerful. that a pritzker's wife was just like a lowly mail clerk or paralegal there.
years before this she was trying to get me to drop the case.
which never made any actual logical or legalsense.
plus, she was never trying to get what the actual monetary award for the case was.
plus she instructed me to never press criminal charges.
i later on found out that was not accurrate...now, mind you this is the most successful corporate defense attorney in illinois.
plus her referral was piss poor and her referral ruined my case.
i still think she was scared and sabotaged my case on purpose.
she was a family friend,..that was so close my bff who was killed was her nephew.
plus,..when my lil bro was born. i woke up at her house as a kid on that day. that is how close our families were.
my parents migrated her from baltimore from college with her.
like they were the only people ewch of them knew. so close we all stayed in the same large apartments on 67th and crandon. which are now all overpriced condos.
her behavior after she had my case.
was not like someone who was close to the family though. which always struck me as odd,...i guess other powers that be were at work unbeknownest to me as well.
