Crowder gotta be one of the softest big mf's in league history. nikka hit the floor more than AI in his prime

I'm starting to notice the soccer style flops and staying on the ground as if you need a stretcher is starting to be more prevalent. Crowder is a main offender

It's really no different from all the other times the Mavs have been eliminated: Luka can go off, stack up points and assists but it never really results in consistent wins.

Problem is, that's going to get exposed bad this series against a legit elite team vs those inconsistent Clippers teams the last couple of years.

Luka will get stats, but like others have mentioned: that style of ball-dominant play won't win them rings no matter how good it makes a stat sheet look. It's practically Harden all over again.

Mavs need an offense to move the ball and they need a second superstar: preferably a three level scorer can play on and off-ball, pass and play defense
So this dude basically needs a prime Kobe or some shyt to get out the 2nd round?

Phoenix is shooting 64% to Dallas' 42% and only up 13.
Mavs had a lovely night from 3.They got half the formula. You gotta out-physical/dominate the boards & be hot from 3 to put a series L on the Suns resume.Only teams left in the playoffs capable of doing that are the Warriors & Bucks imo.

Suns are clearly letting Luka go one on one

Yep, Suns know it's easier to let Luka get 40+/game and stop the rest of the Mavericks than to hold Luka to 25 ppg but everyone else goes off.

It's not about Kidd, Luka etc. They just don't have the horses. Even if J. Kidd and Luka did everything perfectly as coach and player, they'll be lucky to take 2 games off Phoenix.

This series should give them a clear picture of what they are good at AND what kind of pieces they need to acquire in order to be a legitimate championship contender. They are in that tier below champ contender right now. Either need a 2011 Dirk team or pair Luka up with a real dude that can share the load.
