Breh, KD explained the salary situation in All the Smoke interview. I'd doubt the Warriors would have make an effort to keep him with a long term contract. They had to pay Thompson and Draymond. How they hell they were going to pay their core players with KD in the roster?

By continuing to pay the luxury tax like they been doing and then the rest of the roster filled with vet minimums and rookie salaries, they could go over the cap to retain KD. They're paying Wiggins $32M, KD's $40M wasn't going to break them.

nah, monty got outcoached and the mavs sniffed out all of bookers and cp's pet plays and put the onus on the non-playmakers to make plays and they looked terrible. how many times did we see jae crowder and mikal bridges look awkward on ball cause the suns offense is actually painfully predictable....but effective in the regular season cause teams arent focusing up to stop them like its a series...nor have the necessary communication. the suns functioned well all year whenever cp didnt play...so him playing poorly or being a nonfactor was due to what the mavs were doing...not some mysterious cop-out ass injury. he's always come up short in the playoffs. mavs played good to great defense last round....this round they're getting smoked whenever the warriors decide to not turn the ball over. suns relied on stationary spot up shooters to provide spacing...which you can scheme for with rotations and hard hedging to minimize luka getting taken advantage of. With that said saying the sixers....a core that aint even make the ECFs is better than a team that was in the finals last year is blasphemous and you need to relax. we get it you like trae and you gotta defend your man....but the way the east is set up...its more likely you'll be in the play-in than the mavs will....and no gm would start building a team with trae in mind over luka. trae will be in the hall of fame probably but theres levels.

The calls did start looking funny in games 3 and 4 but that's still no excuse for the Suns losing the series. The Suns won game 5 and had all the momentum for games 6 and 7, they just choked.

Chris Paul turned 37 and his stats went down like it's a 2K game. Now they're saying he was injured. Booker forgot how to close in the closeout games. Everyone was trash game 7. Worst playoff performance in Suns history getting destroyed game 7 at home to Luka ball.

The Warriors rolling over the Mavs like this shows the current gap between the Suns and Warriors. The Suns have to start looking at their future beyond Chris Paul. Chris is a Hall of Famer but you can't rely on a 37 year old with his injury history if you want to seriously compete.
