Apple just stopped selling that 13" mid 2012 model last year so it should still get OS updates for a few more years.

I've shifted my focus to this model. I'm winning the auction for a 2014 and gone probably win since it ends soon but the Retina display is messed up:scust:

I saw Apple was replacing those as recent as October 2016

Thinking about bailing on it...

Nah don't mess with a messed up retina screen. Those are expensive to replace.

Get on swappa.

So I ended up getting a 2013 MacBook Pro w/Retina display. 8 GB Ram/256 HD in the $550-700 range off eBay. It can be done! Had I been patient with the auction process I would’ve been in the lower range but I was in a hurry. Now I just need an updated OSX
