Nah. DMX is great but hard to compete with somebody with Illmatic (aka the GOAT rap album) and one of the greatest storytellers in rap.
You just rated illmatic 4 mics?????? IWW, lost tapes and Stillmatic only 4?

A lot of these are too high breh
What would you say is to high? And how would you rate them?
I like the "cream of the crop" statement. To me personally there is a difference between a 5 mic album and a classic cream of the crop album like an illmatic, doggystyle, 36 chambers. Is that a legit argument?Well when I think of 5 mics, I'm thinking of 'cream of the crop' albums; not just in hip hop but in music as a whole. Illmatic is a very good example of this. IWW is a classic so that'd be a 4.5.
StIllmatic has some AMAZING highs: Rewind, Intro, 2nd Childhood etc. but there's a few tracks I don't care for. Braveheart Party is pure ass.
For the second question I'm not sure, it's been a long time since I've heard some of Nas' albums.

No one said Warren G didn't save Def Jam. I said DMX and Jay came thru 4 years later and did it AGAIN nikka. I'm done talkin bout this Swizz shyt. Lol.1.Def Jam Recordings - Wikipedia
By 1992, despite recent multi-platinum selling releases from Public Enemy, and EPMD, Def Jam ran into severe financial troubles and was faced with folding. However, in 1994, PolyGram purchased Sony's 50% stake in Def Jam Recordings — subsequently bringing the label into its fold. Following PolyGram's purchase, Def Jam distributed the Violator Records-signed artist Warren G's Regulate... G Funk Era album, which went triple platinum and brought much-needed revenue to Def Jam through its distribution deal with Violator.[8]
Def jam did great business with the roc,dmx ja etc but warren saved them in their hard times.
2.Cause you said so?
He did fine without him.
3.fukk your opinion let's deal with facts. Who did better, them or swizz?
Swizz made more notable shyt than them combined.
You said this four hours ago right? No one said Warren G didn't save Def Jam. I said DMX and Jay came thru 4 years later and did it AGAIN nikka. I'm done talkin bout this Swizz shyt. Lol.
Even on his worst album Nas has songs that are better than DMX's best songs
It was a mistake. Got on my phone and it showed I didn't hit reply. Didn't remember if I did already. You said this four hours ago right?
And they saved nothing
No, 4 mics is extremely generous.
His 4 mic albums are: Illmatic, It Was Written, Lost Tapes (if it counts), Stillmatic
Nothing else there is 4 mics. You have some 3.5 mics in there maybe like Life is Good, God's Son etc.
That's what I mean by overrated.
Other artists of his calibre have better discogs, it's that simple.
I'd say X's peak was higher, but Nas' longevity puts him over the edge.
This is actually closer then people realize. A few changes in history and this could easily swing the other way.
Re-listening to DMX's work right now. You could argue he's a better overall rapper.
