Yes I can. Cause he produced 85% of his best album musically.
it's not the best musically at all. and very few of his beats or memorable. Accept reality.
He's lucky he was allowed to do so many tracks on an album that he could of been replaced on.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Dame never made x's best music nor made people fall in love with X,swizz did. You can say people loved X cause of dame but you're wrong and just speaking off emotion. I never loved dude's beats like that. Get at me dog was not a fav of mine, thought it was meh. RR anthem rocked the world.

My favorite x songs off IDAHIH were
The intro
RR anthem
How's it going down (video version's the best)
DAmien
fukking wit d
Stop being greedy.
I can feel it

I liked the Damien beat but i never cared for the I CAN FEEL IT production like that.

Dame's beats dont stand out like that. Swizz beats actually do.
RR anthem is catchy as hell and different.
Beats like:
My nikkaz
AINT no way
It's all good
Flesh of my flesh
Heat

Simply put Swizz on Flesh of my flesh production > Dame on IDAHIH
and it's not even close
U a lonely nikka thinking the Flesh Of My Flesh production is better than the IDAHIH. Lmao.

Easily, DMX has with out question 1 classic album ( it's dark and hell is hot) and arguably 3.

Nas only has one.

Line up there sales # too, X wins.

Pull up there shows, X wins.

Put on a bunch of people, X wins.

Battle rapping, X wins.

Only thing X was never really tested on was a rap beef like Nas and Jay had

so many things wrong with this post :hhh: lol

His fans.

Lol I think he's overrated in the grand scheme of things. Very talented rapper but we have many of those who are less appreciated like Pharoahe Monch for example. His discography doesn't stack up against others, mainly because of production and sequencing. If he wasn't held in as high a regard and considered GOAT by everyone for no real good reason I would appreciate him more.

nas has one of the best discograpphys in the game your buggin

:what: album has 19 tracks. He produced 13 of them shyts.

Even if I was to accept your inaccurate 13 out 19 tracks story, 13/19 is not equal to 85%. :comeon:

You need to look at those production credits, breh. Of the 13 tracks, 7 are the only ones Dame produced by himself. 1 of them is a skit. How in the hell are you giving Dame Grease so much credit for that album anyway:what:

Yea....I`m gonna have to say NO

Nas as a rapper is better. But that doesn't mean DMX didn't drop dope music and had great albums and songs.

But Nas had more than just one great album, those saying otherwise are just lyin'
Illmatic goes without saying
IWW was a classic
Stillmatic was a classic

Shiiet I'd say albums like I am and God's SOn were both 4/5

Street's disciple and Life is good are also very good albums

And with that said, DMX was huge. He was probably the bigger rapper in his prime TBH. Droppin hits, clubs to the streets were banging him and he had everyone feeling him.

Once RR Anthem dropped??? nope...it was over.

The amount of albums the two make has nothing to do with the discussion because Nas had far greater impact on hip-hop than DMX ever will. Illmatic is one of the greatest top 5 Hip-Hop albums of all time, period. DMX doesn't come close to top 25. The music Nas made is superior to DMX's in every capacity and he did it at a younger age while setting the bar for people like DMX to follow.

mega beat up nas?

I didn't know they fought.

DMX only had one good year now?:snoop:

yep

along with snoop, if he lost that murder trial.

DMX reached heights that nas couldn't dream of, and he was there for a good 3-4 years. and before the Viacom takeover, the standard run was 3-5 years. the idea that DMX was just lightning-in-a-bottle is usually just post-2000s rap fan rhetoric. when the politics started to dictate everything.

DMX' run was standard length, and actually greater than standard considering everything that he crammed into that window. plus, X still wouldn't have fallen completely out the picture like he did if it wasn't for drugs & def jam.

"if I ruled the world" is just a big-budgeted, yet still watered-down version of AZ "sugar hill". the same AZ that nas basically patterned his career shift after, coupled with the hype machine that AZ didn't have.

aint nothing iconic about stillmatic breh. its not a classic. and it wasn't an album filled with hits neither.

those albums are 4 years apart breh.

they both saved def jam during their respective eras.

ehh. ruff ryders giving the duties to swizz was moreso a mix of nepotism & a low-cost business move.

but yea, swizz was a much bigger hit-maker than dame grease. on the flip, dame was the better choice for holding down a project. we saw it again a decade later with max b & hell rell.

as much as I hate how under-appreciated swizz beatz is on the internet, and in this thread. your disdain for dame grease is no better.:scust:

both producers are great. I bump IDAHIH & FOMFBOMB like a two-mood double-cd.

I stated it poorly.

I moreso meant his top 10 status.

I wasn't trying to say he was doggystyle/snoop dogg status.

stillmatic is a fukking classic what are you talking and it did have hits he went double plat nas got 7 or 8 plats dmx got like 4
