Y'all AA have a horrible history here from slavery..

Well take that one scene and imagine its a country of millions of people saying "They(whitey) enslaved your motherfukking ancestors, what you doing to do about " ..
So my point is AA have a history of growing up with this hatred of the people who enslaved your family a long time ago living right next to you, or the town next over...
But the thing is that immigrants did not grow up with this same hatred that AA did.. So the come here feeling great and rejuvenated life
The way for AA to win this battle from this point forward is with their minds.. not with all this rah rah "Shout out my Africans Bullshyt" (its outdated and corny in the internet age)
They need to raise stronger men and women for the future and stop corrupting there children's mind at a young age with some damm hip hop which only serves to teach you to feel sorry for yourself even more.

This is hilarious to me when the immigrants that come here don't even mirror the lives of most of the folks they left behind back home. I'm sure any AA who decides to move to Jamaica doesn't represent the average AA as well.

I was actually born here to Jamaican parents.. but I know my roots and the people I was raised around.. And Im not going to let those roots go because of so delusional belief that Im African American.. And there deep seeded hatred is somehow now "my" deep seeded hatred.
Its but that's what this countries aims to do.. Put people in a certain frame of mind SIMPLY because of the color of your skin..
They want you to feel there fight.. but as the saying goes "misery loves company".. I have respect for them.. But Im not going to involve myself in things that do not concern me specially. Dont get me wrong! I protested for Travon.. and Eric garner, Fredie Grey.. But a lot of those other people out here need to try and do better, because they dont all deserves the attention that these men have gotten
I grew up in a multi cultural environment in DC, as did you in N.Y, and Im thankful that I didn't grow up thinking about color.. Im not going to change my roots and way of thinking because "the media says so... " This is very weak minded .. (which unfortunately a lot of people are )

I don't get all this. You act as if your and my parents represent garden variety folks back home. Anyone willing to take a trek away from their homes and does doesn't rep the norm. Yet they're the ones always measured against the norm here as if it's an equal measure. I don't know a solitary person who wakes up and says "I don't want to do more. Racism got me tired! My color is holding me back!" That's a joke. This is just more of that elitist island/African bs...nothing more.
