He's definitely in the discussion. I just like defense and it's hard for me to accept that the MVP has played against bottom 5 defenses all year. I needa see him vs. a real defense and not that (2-3 Seahawks, struggling defense at the beginning of the year)

peyton/brady/rodgers (among others) have feasted on average-to-below average defenses in their divisions during their MVP seasons for years :manny:

cam can't control who he plays against. but he can control whether or not he can elevate the play of the other players around him (which is VERY hard to do). and he's done that. in spades

Why does everyone keep saying Cam is doing it with less? Brady had his entire offense decimated and had to rely on fukkin Lafell, its actually amazing his team was even able to score. Now that I think about it, his defense wasn't really fully healed either.

yeah, carson palmer got a hall of famer to throw to

cam's numbers are better than brady's as of today

this is a brand new season, and cam stepped up with his BEST WIDEOUT going down before the season start

yet people wanna make excuses for brady because gronk missed a few games

this season cam is clearly playing better than any other QB period

I don't discount that Cam is in the consideration, but to say he's got a clear statistical case:skip:

Brady
4,138 Yards
64.2 %
33 TD
6 INT
103.6 Rating

Cam
3,062 Yards
59.1 %
28 TD
10 INT
96.9 Rating

Cam newton has 35 Tds not 28

He was 28 passing and 7 rushing

he leads the league in TDs and his team is undefeated

yall forget to add in his rushing attack he is a dual threa

he getting done on the ground and the air

winning cames when victory is out of reach

taking an offense that was non existent and bringing it to the top of the league with his best option being a flabby greg olsen who's best years were in chicago

also brady has been struggle in recent games, while Cam and Wilson are ending the series strong

cam is the best offensive player on the best offensive the league, which wouldn't be the case if he wasn't the QB

he's the MVP

Numbers/stats need context though. Brady is a pocket passer and should have more passing yards and passing TDs cause that's his strength. Cam on the other hand is an unstoppable offensive weapon/dual threat.

Gronk missed what? One game? Are you serious right now.

Everyone knew the Pats were going to be great this year. Even after Brady put up what 450+ yards on the Bills in Week 2?

Who the hell had the Panthers going 13-0? Based on roster alone? Hell no

I will say nobody predicted the Panthers to be this good and i'll give Cam props cause he is balling. It's between him and Brady for MVP.

But this ain't a clear cut race:manny:

No Dion Lewis after 6 games, Edelman has been gone for 2 months, Amendola has been struggling with injuries and missed a couple of games, so.......yeah that's the entire offense.

I don't understand why Russ name is even being mentioned.

Through the first 8 games Russ had 9 tds to 8 turnovers and the Hawks went 4-4. MVP seasons don't have stretches like that. Period. 4 great games and a wildcard birth don't make you the MVP of a 16 game season. fukk out of here.

So you're saying if cam has a rough last few games he should be out the race. That's makes no sense. You have to look at the season as a whole.

When was the last time someone called Russell Wilson a game manager? :francis:

These insecure Seahawks fans who need to post about Wilson in Cam topics are getting annoying. Record does matter in an MVP race plus the Panthers beat the Seahawks this year.
:pachaha:you cant be serious

That's EXACLY what I'm doing. Looking at the season as a whole and not this 4 games stretch that got yall hawk fans delusional. Russel under-performed the whole first half of the season. 4 good games doesn't erase that. He's not the MVP and shouldn't be in the conversation.

And make no mistake, if the Panthers don't win out Cam will not get that MVP.

Well if you look at the season as a whole their numbers are very close.

Russ and cam have both proven they can do it w/o a lot of help around them
