My thing is people here are acting like his line wasn’t paper towels out here. Like let’s see what he could do with a better O line and all around team before you just throw the man out like some trash. If he is done, we will see it.. You have to see what he has left. Carolina has been horrible for like 3 years now. I laugh at fans being so happy that he’s gone acting like they’re not about to be woat status for at least the next season.
I hope he goes to New England and win. I'm a talk so much shyt to Panther fans :ahh:

That version of Cam that was hitting the easy passes at an unprecedented rate two years ago before the Watt hit would look good in that Pats system

IDK what's hurting him most, the shoulder definitely was fukking up his strength last season, you could see that he saw where to put the ball, he just couldn't do it. But the ankle, all of his footwork progress made under Norvell basically went to zero. Dude got the absolute worst injuries for the style of play that made him a top 10 guy :why:

Hated they waited all those years to get him a quality OC. As soon as he gets Norv he's SUDDENLY completing 67%? They never had a good play caller after Chud left.

Cam was putting up 4700+ total yards a season his first couple of years. Just crazy man. That new throwing motion looks a lil sketch. Probably eases tension but not throwing them power throws like he use too.

If 2011-2015 Cam went to any respectable franchise bro would've been getting the same love Mahomes getting. Certainly not the passer Pat is but his ability to just be stunning every game every year woulda been amplified by being on a roster that looked out for him.

The one thing I always see underlooked on Cam was his arm strength, esp during the span you mentioned. I see people mention an ARod or Pat or whoever, Cam could put a ball wherever anyone else could, and had an OD fastball. And remember, HE DIDNT STEP INTO THESE THROWS.

and yeah that throwing motion probably like Markelle shooting motion back when. Anything resembling his OG motion is likely unfeasible due to pain and the structural damage. He needs to get that fixed before the ankle now that I think about it

He didnt have the touch Mahomes had and he didnt have Rodgers precision. However, in terms of pure power throws no one made em like Cam.

Another thing that irked me during that time. It was clear during his last year at Auburn that he crushed it in the no huddle.

You'd see it enough during his first couple of years in the league. Then during the Shula era they'd just wait until they absolutely needed to. The lack of tempo was frustrating because Cam is a rhythm thrower.

Cam was almost ahead of his time when you think about it.

I guess I can blame Cam for some of this. He was too loyal to coaches/players. Media disliked him anyway so he should have raised hell about play calling, the oline and lack of wrs. Now he's done and gets kicked to the curb.

Before we even get to the TJ Watt hit. This was the play that first messed up Cam's shoulder back in 2016
@Rigby. bad luck with injury post made me look it up.

1. First KB runs a horrible route
2. Dude goes down and ref doesnt blow the whistle. Instead letting it play out.
3. KB could have still finished the tackle so the ref can blow the whistle.
4. Cam tries running him down anyway and messes up his shoulder thus changing his career forever.
5. Insult to injury...replay shows the dude was down so Cam got hurt for nothing.

Didn't know he hurt himself on that play :dwillhuh: I can see looking back that his right arm looks a lil bit flappy after getting blocked and obv jumping for that tackle like that was just unneeded IMO :unimpressed: That play does very accurately summarize Cam's carolina tenure, for better and worse

Thats why Ill always fukk with nba players, they're stars and they hold FOs accountable like stars. Cam damn near shuck and jived with whatever Carolina asked him to do his entire tenure. One of the most interesting players in all of the NFL, and one of the few with real crossover appeal, just played his role :unimpressed:

Yea he continued playing on it and made it worse (played bad to end the season)

Got surgery in March so he really wasnt himself despite winning 11 games the next season/Funchess non catch away from beating the Saints in the playoffs.

Still deal with soreness, but Watt ruined it the following season. Its why he got the fukked up throwing motion now.

Way too cool with whatever the organization was doing.

I think he dove for the tackle cause he still felt that sting for not jumping on the football in the Super Bowl. :francis:
