I agree with the thinking that it was always about Hank + Karen, so the ending was fitting. I wasn't mad at it. Hank setting the dinner up with Heather Graham and Christopher was cool too.

Also with the thinking that they could have just done thing ending a long time ago and went out on top.

I'm glad I stuck with the show though. The early seasons were great. Then in the fall off seasons, you still had the occasional laughs and titties. Hank Moody overall a trill motherfukker with a cool ass life.

they should have ended this after season 3 or 4. they just kept repeating the same formula and replacing the side characters with more and more outrageous cliches. levon couldnt have been a more perfect example of just how far this show fell off. its amazing to think that in just twelve, 30 minute episodes he overtook the woat TV child crown from kim bauer and dana brody and its unlikely he'll ever be topped :wow:

I think I finished season 3 on Netflix. It was okay, but never had the urge that I had to go back and see what happened. Kinda fell off and yall sat through like 4 more seasons.

Was Hank still smashing young bad chicks?

just caught up on seasons 6 and 7 this past month.. i watched the show in spurts so my memory of the overall run is a bit foggy.

was the show always so goofy? the whole atticus fetch character.. the son.. fukking stewart.. dude being named fukking hashtag.. :camby:

just seemed way out there even for a show with charlie runkle in it. :salute: to runks

i didn't mind the finale. it wasn't great.. it felt rushed. something that could have played out over a couple episodes.. i had to check to see if it was an hour long episode or if there was one more after it..

but the final few minutes with hank reading his letter to karen.. and the flashbacks.. that was the essence of californication :obama:

hank moody :salute:

i waited for the final season to come out on dvd before i watched it.

i really liked the episode where everybody crash Hanks dinner for Karen...Rob Lowe's cameo's always deliver and the finale
haven't watched the last two episodes yet but from what i read and heard when it finished he;s finally going back to NYC with Karen..the writer gets it right when dealing with the heart of the show.. it's the filler fukkery in between since season 4 onwards that let the show down.

like i said it should have finished at the end of season 4 with Hank driving off into the sunset after leaving the movie set.
