Because a ball thrown down field high in the air isn't catchable until it comes down in a catch radius. That stat is basically saying, Rome isn't getting looks and a lot of the passes that come his way don't give him a chance to even make a play on them.
those two misses on the last drive were tough

Caleb needs to figure out the big plays down the field with Rome because he keeps getting open down the field

in addition to getting open, his blocking has been impressive for a rook. Dude is physical

You know I saw vasher and Tim Jennings….i was like it’s the bears I’m not gonna waste my time :mjlol: He got it , whatever point he was proving ….you got it bro

yall really think this dude is better than Jennings and Vasher in their best years for Chicago? :mjtf: I don't see it, he pass interferes too much and gets beat deep way too much. Jennings, Vasher and Tillman all made you pay for throwing their way over and over again. All of these guys are Cover 2 corners, Johnson does not make QBs pay enough. His highest int season ever is 4 with 15 pass breakups.

Jennings is a way better cover corner, his best season with the Bears he had 9 ints and 21 pass deflections and a Pro Bowl birth/All Pro. 3 ints for TDs in career.
Vasher while not a great man to man guy, his best season with the Bears he had 8 picks and 16 pass deflections with a Pro Bowl/All Pro and got 6 votes for DPOY (previous season he had 5 picks) 2 int TDs for career

I don't even think Tillman (the real 33) is worth discussing. We already know. :sas1:

Flus stay blaming people. :dead:

All the "keep it internal" divisive talk goes out the window when Eberflus has to do the post games and media rounds on a loss.

This dude doesn't even do it smugly like Nagy would talk. He just blames the players like an a$$hole. Very much like the asswipe Getsy he hired.

Caleb seems to trust Keenan the most. Seems to always look for him 1st no matter what the coverage is on Rome or DJ.

Grain of salt and all but an insider account (searstower) that was getting a lot of stuff right during the draft is now saying Flus is done in chicago and will be fired after this season. They also apparently reported Jones goin to Vikings before ne1 else did.

SearSTower on Twitter: Flus is done in Chicago, but won't be fired in-season + Warren and Cunningham wanted Flus gone but Poles decided to keep him + Ben Johnson was interested in Bears last offseason and still is

This SearTower guy on Twitter was hitting on things this past offseason but deleted his account when it got too hot. He's back and dropping info on the Bears. Top takeaways are:
  1. Flus is done in Chicago, but won't be fired in-season
  2. Warren and Cunningham wanted Flus gone last offseason but Poles decided to keep him, will get a 2nd shot though
  3. Ben Johnson was interested in Bears last offseason and still is BUT apparently fans are higher on him than execs

I really just want basic competency. I think Caleb will become the player that can carry ho hum decisions like peak arod and macarthy.

If thats ben johnson cool but he doesnt have to be the alpha n omega or nothing

If that's the case, they're missing a opportunity to see if Thomas can be the HC. Should give him the team for the rest of the season and see how they respond. It's like vetting and interviewing a candidate before officially having to do it.

With how Ben got the offense for the lions goin with Goff, he should be a nice upgrade for caleb.
Thats true. And tbh out personel isnt tooooo far off from being able to replicate theirs. Get some good guards this offseason and were fine. Wrs are good, swift and ro can emulate gibbs n mont
