Honestly a bunch of non-black dudes have been saying nikka openly for a few of decades now.
Which is why it’s weird that people here act like it never happens, or it’s only in the Bay Area or wherever.
I’m from VA and when we were kids/teens certain but not all “cool” whiteboys said nikka routinely and nothing happened to them.
Are them some dudes that would’ve checked them on it? Maybe but that wasn’t most people. If someone was “cool” and said it in regular casual way, they weren’t getting checked. I know a white guy who lived in the hood and hung with the goons and dopeboys and called them nikka all the time and no one batted an eye. Let’s not even get into Puerto Ricans up north.
Looking back as an adult, that does seem pretty crazy, but I have a hard time believing peoples’ locales were not like this growing up unless you had no non-black people in your schools and communities.

To add to the OP, we made the word popular and it caught fire. We glorified it in hit records and singles. Don't make it right but thats like starting a house fire and using a squirt gun to put it out. I remember when NWA's nikkaz4Life came out, anybody who wasn't black was calling it "that new NWA album".

How does that refute anything I said, you remedial clown?
