Naw, they needed to build up the offensive line. None of those rookie QBs would’ve succeeded on this Bears team.
And yet, people were killing Fields despite him having a WORSE o-line, WORSE weapons, and a WORSE OC.

Bears organization fukked up. Now they gonna fire the HC and OC, then force Caleb to learn a new offense with a coaching staff that may not be all-in with him.

The only way to save Caleb, is to actually keep coaching continuity until the game slows down for him.

Won't happen tho.

Breh give Caleb some time. The bears have been one of the worst organizations top down for damn near 20 years.

Ownership, management, Coaching, o line, weapons have all been issues.

I do think Caleb was probably overhyped as a prospect but we can't just write him off based on a single season.

With that said, I wanted the bears to draft stroud

Hire the lions OC as HC? He makes some wild choices at times but the lions offense has been incredible

When should a coach be fired in your opinion?

Eberflus should not have any defenders.

He should absolutely be fired because he fukking sucks.

BUT, if you are trying to salvage Caleb, you have to keep him for continuity purposes. After a few seasons in the same system, the game slows down for the QB, then do what ever you want.

I also don't think Ben Johnson would leave the Lions and go to a divisional rival either.

There's already smoke that Johnson will come if the job is available.

There won't be many if any other teams that have a more attractive roster to take over beyond Chicago. If they fire Eberflus, they will be at the top of the list of teams looking for coaches.
