The difference above all else is the fact that when you go off eye test, Cade plays better defense than Jalen but Jalen has shown flashes and has improved already. Win shares is flawed because it doesn’t account for the fact that cades team has won 3 games out of the 17 or so they played without him and the rockets still have won more games without Jalen Green than they have with him. Went on a long win streak when he first sat and ate above 500 without him.
let’s just go by the March games and see how both have done during their best stretch of games. If we did the 17 in March for Green and 14 for Cade in the games they played (this includes a game where Cade played 8 minutes against OKC in a tank off)
Offense rating for both = Cade 116 Jalen 111
Defense rating for both = Cade 111 Jalen 112
Averages for them both in March = Cade- 21/5.5/6.5 Jalen-21/3/3.
You can claim Cade has a higher usage but Jalen has had 200 more possessions than Cade these last 15 games. Cade TS% is only low because he doesn’t get foul calls. Pistons literally are trying to tank and have sat Cade Jalen is playing the best ball he can and they still losing.
Jalen green from three has been out his mind yet still is barely out scoring Cade who is tasked to do double what Jalen does and actually has led his team to more wins
