What's the solutions to all of our issues though? They micromanage. They annoy. They nag. They ask personal questions. They make us miserable.

Before I worked at my current company, I worked at more corporate and “political” places. And that’s where I really learned the game to be political but in a way where I’m not kissing ass nor am I selling myself or my next black man out.

Plus we don’t live in a world anymore where if your really trynna rise to the top and make moves, you can be isolated and stuck to yourself.

You have to know how to network, create a specific type of relationship and know how to parlay that into something that benefits you better down the line.

That's still requires one to "play the game" and be fake.

He's a finance director for the region I'm in. Not a manager, but still has some pull. Other managers don't take him too seriously, but that's mostly because they don't interact with him as much. We all find that he's just a stickler for small shyt that could easily be corrected. Other people here don't call me out, they're doing their own thing.

However, he's sort of the right hand man to the boss of all of us, including the general manager. If there's any issue with finance or any type of numbers, dude goes super saiyan passive aggressive.
