This is a solid comedy. Halfway through and I’m enjoying it. 
Breaking Bad was mid for its first few episodes as well.
The Shield is the one show I remember being GOAT level from the first episode forward.
The show is pretty good

I’m halfway through season one and I’m enjoying it. Got some pre 2010s vibes to it (the office, modern family, parks n rec)
Everything doesn’t have to be GOT or Breaking Bad to be an enjoyable experience.

The show had ONE SEASON and all I'm hearing is how amazing it is
let's take the greats op mentioned out of it and just use shows it's competing with
the office took like 3 seasons to generate hype and then a couple years for people to catch on
Friends and Seinfeld needed years and multiple seasons
but ted lasso is all of a sudden this saving grace to comedy tv?
give me a break

I liked Deadwood and the first two seasons of Boardwalk Empire a lot.
I might eventually check out Ted Lasso. I think it's popularity is due to the fact that a lot of people were shut in and depressed due to the pandemic and that heartwarming vibe hit at just the right time for them.
