You've never heard Hotel California?

fukk the eagles
Prince was out here giving Susanna the hit single + dikk bundleThe Bangles >
The problem with Hotel California is that its not a song you're going to hear at a football game or something like that.
I'm white. I didn't hear this song for the first time until, at the earliest, college. At the latest, sometime in my 20s. And I only heard it b/c I sought it out because I followed the billboard charts and was like "who the fukk are the Eagles and what the fukk is Hotel California?" :PPicard:
There's a lot of massively popular "rock" or "alternative" or what I would call "white" music that is going to completely miss certain demographics. I remember when I was 26 I had white co-workers who were astonished that I'd never heard "Margaritaville"
What kinda shyt is this? All you in here talking about you never heard an Eagles song gotta be 12 years old.
If they never heard it, it doesn't existAll you in here talking about you never heard an Eagles song gotta be 12 years old.
let's clap for somebody who has a wide knowledge of hip-hop and r&b but just pretended no other music existedWhat kinda shyt is this?
I'll be 30 next month and have never heard of them. I've heard that Hotel California track in movies and shows and I still couldn't tell you who made that song. I came up on Hip-hop and R&B and my folks were listening to stuff like The Elements, MJ, Stevie, Whitney, The Isley Brother, Aretha, etc. I'm not trying to throw shade but these cacs get no play from me or anyone I know.
This is only for the US. Thriller is still the highest selling album when including worldwide sales.
I just find it ridiculous for you all to look @ ppl funny because they've never heard of a popular group. This just isn't the type of music I came up on or listen to.let's clap for somebody who has a wide knowledge of hip-hop and r&b but just pretended no other music existed
I'd be willing to bet some of you lil nikkas are in here fronting and haven't heard Thriller either, and that's what's REALLY sad
